I just now discovered the mod so I haven't had a chance to dig into it but would be curious about the other things you are asking about as well. Once I get a chance to dig into it, if I figure anything out I'll be sure to post.
The variables you need can be found in the sandbox.sbc in the savegame folder(pls google where to find your savegame folder for SE) of your world - just open it with a text editor and press strg + f to open the search window. Then search for the name of the celestial body you want to add and this is where you can find all needed information.
Regarding the other things like the look it seems like he is on it and if I read the comments under this mod it appears that he has adjusted the script to make some if this possible.
