Bugreports
If you find any bugs in the mod, report them here.

If you have technical issues with the mod, check the most common issues below before posting.

Installation:
1. Installing by subscribing:
- Click the subscribe button.
- Restart the game.
At this point the mod should appear in the launcher. If it doesn't do the following:
- Restart Steam.
- Launch EUIV with all mods disabled and play with any country for about 15 minutes.
- Quit EUIV and restart Steam
If the mod still doesn't appear, make sure you enable Steam cloud synchronization.
- Go to your Steam library
- Right click on EUIV
- Properties -> Updates
- Make sure that enable cloud syncronization is ticked
- Repeat all previous steps
If the mod still doesn't appear, try the following:
- Unsubscribe from Extended Timeline
- Quit Steam
- Go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod and if there are any files or folders with ExtendedTimeline in its name, delete them.
- Go to your Steam folder. By default it is located in C/Program Files/Steam
- Go to userdata folder. It should contain numbered folders with numbered subfolders.
- Some of these numbered subfolders should have remote/mod subfolders. If there are any files or folders with extendedtimeline in its name in the mod folders, delete them.
- Start Steam and resubscribe to Extended Timeline
2. Direct download:
- The direct download link can be found in the mod's thread at the Paradox forums. There's a link to the correct thread in the description. Note that you must have registered your game in order to get access to the forum's modding section.
- Unpack the files to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/mod

If the mod crashes, check the following:
- Make sure you have the correct version of the game.
- Make sure you have no other mods activated.
- The mod is incompatible with 32bit systems. There are instructions below on how to run the mod on 32bit systems.
- It is possible that you have an old or corrupted version of the mod. This could be fixed by verifying the game cache or by redownloading the mod.
- If the game crashes while loading flags, clear the flag cache by removing the contents of Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\gfx\flags
- Do not save to the cloud. Cloud saves have a size limit and if the save size gets over this limit, the save becomes corrupted and is likely to cause crashes or other bugs.

The game also produces logs which can sometimes produce some information about the crash. The default logs can be found in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\logs\error.txt You can also get extended logs by running the game in debug mode. This can be done by launching the game with additional parameters -randomlog -debug You can zip together all the logs and send me a link.

Multiplayer issues:
The game sometimes reports "Game Not Found" when trying to play in multi-player. The following could help:
- Flush the Windows DNS cache from the command prompt: ipconfig /flushdns - do this after the game is created by the host on all machines. May need to do it more than once.
- Disable all other mods and the minor DLCs on all computers until it works. Star and Crescent, American Dream and Conquest of Paradise have been reported to cause problems.
- Have all players use the direct download version of the mod.

Two days ago this mod ran fine on my mac. Now it isn't running at all. The game quits when I try to run it. This mod is awesome and I would like to continue playing it if you can find whats wrong. Thanks.

When i run it on Windows with the 1.4 update, all flags show up black. This doesn't happen with other mods or with vanilla. I have tried reinstalling the mod manually.

Saved games when playing as a Asian nation turn out to 0 , no ruler etc. just a blank game where all saves are gone.. ducats, ADM,DP,MP power are all 0. if game is started in the early bookmarks.

In the 2014 Start date, Italy starts with 50 units Milanese Nationalist Rebels. Why?
qweytr  [developer] 24 Jan, 2014 @ 11:18pm
I'll fix the Milanese rebels and country formations for the Anglo-Saxons.

About the other and more serious issues, I unfortunately can't help as I have no idea of what's causing them.

When I loaded up a game as Francia it's 59 AD, all my alliances and diplomatic ties were gone, the same for every other country. I saved on cloud. I'll see if it changes if I save to my PC instead.

EDIT: Also, after the first month, I'm considered a great power and I'm competing against everyone around me. Even though I'm not in the top 10, not even close.

So, I was playing the Goths starting in 58 AD, and using console commands gave myself a hilarious tech lead, grabbing exploration and expansion ideas to start moving east, but the provinces directly east of the Goths start location never get anything to produce, no event saying "goodstuffs will be produced in province you're colonizing." And when i try to load a save the whole world becomes terra incognita, and when i select the Goths, it just shows my original starting provinces and sets the dtae back to Jan. 1st 58 AD.
Plz look into

Some provinces starts with "fortress level 0" in the early game and count as colonies when trying to convert them using missionaries and therefore cannot be converted.

When a nation is formed by an event, such as tribes forming into a nation, their provinces still have the "unknown" resource.

I've conquered the Danish region as the picts, for some reason Nordjylland and Lolland seem to be flagged as colonies. They are sieged isntantly and cannot be conevrted by a missionary.

Whenever I start a game, it gives me a ____ years ahead tech penalty and it basically results in no techs being researched for 50+ years. I assume this isn't suppose to be the way, and thought I'd bring it up in case no one has yet.

Really good work on the mod though! ^^

Instead of say the complete name of a country, example: Rome Empire, it says ROM (The tag).
This happen with every "new" country added in this mod.
PD: My game is in the spanish version and its the only mod enable (Sorry for my bad english)

Hello, thx for the mod, really attractiv.

Reloading during a session seams working if i write a personnal title before.
But, if i've close the game, i can 't reload my saves ... Saves with personnal title, automatic name and period, autosave or old autosave.
White sheet appear under the grid, sometimes with some names ...

Parthe's game. local saves
EU4 v1.4.1.0 (4c11)

Thx for your attention

@Makarov
This mod only supports the English version for now. To change the language of your game go to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\settings.txt and change language to "l_english"
Teutomatos 26 Jan, 2014 @ 9:26am
Ahhh ... And did u project some "universalis" way ?
