I have been unable to add any additional information for some reason. Steam just gives me an error when adding a comment.

This is a single player file using player ships, not alliance. I've tried disabling all other mods and even making a new galaxy. I can pull the window up to generate designs but after filling the initial form and hitting generate design nothing happens. I've tried making more changes and less changes and hitting generate again to no avail.
