Why? Does it hurt your ego to see people play with mods? I don't get it. Just let people play how they want, man.
Hey, it wasn't about ego at all, just a mistake on my part
When I released Nuketown, it was actually an early version. I shared it sooner than planned to give players something to enjoy while I continued working on the full version (with the bunker, etc.). Unfortunately, as time went on, I lost motivation and had much less time for modding. Eventually, I just didn't have the energy to keep developing it.
I delayed this update because the map and code had changed so much during development that releasing a proper update wasn’t possible — everything was kind of broken. So I had to strip out the newer stuff (which wasn’t really playable anyway) and bring the project back to something closer to what I released in 2020. It was a challenge, especially since I had forgotten how a lot of it worked, but I got through it.
My biggest mistake was not making a proper backup to easily remove the mod blocker that’s totally on me, and I sincerely apologize for it :C
Thank you for coming back and fixing this! I for one really appreciate this :)
