I have this problem on my server too

Dear author many projects (and mine too) are waiting for the mod update to start the server. Can you provide new information? How long will it take to fix the tag?

I found a fix for the newer mods including this one. If ur using a hosting service find the file manager go to shooter games folder then content then mods and the mod will be named an iD number with a minus in front rename the folder the mod ID and then find at the bottom the .mod file and repeat the process

I already tried something like that, whenever there was a Ark or Mod update [any mod] it would change it back over and over again. I even tried placing the single-player folder in the server folder and have it replace the broken folder since the mod works on single-player but eventually it changes back. I just uninstalled it, got tired of fooling with it and not to be rude but in all honesty, when people make a mod THEIR PLAYERS who download the mod shouldn't be the ones who have to try to fix it just because they don't want too - therefore it isn't worth it :/ i just found a replacement mod that is out of date but works perfectly fine.

i understand the frustration but its all the new mods that are above 214. Im pretty sure its on arks end not the modders. I think the dev kit needs to be updated to fix this but ark devs like to take their precious time updating the kit. Knowing most players use mods. They get to focused on there projects and the dev kit ends up on the back burner. it took them almost 3 months to update the kit after genesis was released.

It's not an Ark thing, I had my hosting service look deep into the mod files to check if it was an Ark/server issue but it's not. I also have 4 other NEW mods that have 0 issues and I also have 2 mods that are WAAAY above 214 in their mod ID, they are in the 700s as the beginning of their mod ID - so it can't be that, not to mention if it was an ark issue then it wouldn't work in single player, dedicated and non-dedicated servers under the "Host\Local" tab but the mod does work perfectly fine in those with ANY mod, even play as a dino just won't work on servers.

IMO switch to https://arkservers.io I use it and don't get these problems. I used to use host havoc too but found this much easier and a godsend to host.

@Papasaurus thank you, changing the folder/file names appropriately, fixed this mod 100%.
Also, after verifying this mod installed correctly on my own machine....this is clearly an issue with the steam workshop and the server hosts.....NOTHING to do with the mod creator or WC. So cut them some slack.

Ok but then why only this mod so far..? I tested another one of his dragon mods that was last updated in 2017 but 0 issues, I also tested multiple other mods that is creature related both having a higher ID then 214, being outdated, no longer supported, recently updated and recently made but so far none of them has any problems. If it truly is a steam workshop issue then why does it work on single player, usually if it is a steam workshop issue then it wouldn't even work correctly in Ark period but it does and it WAS working on servers just not showing up as if not installed but as soon as the last update came out as many people has said; it suddenly completely stopped working & for a good amount of people on MULTIPLE DIFFERENT HOSTING SERVICES [< just to make things clear] the mod file was removed and/or changed but because people want to quickly jump to the assumption we are just trash talking the mod rather then taking their time in FULLY READING what people been talking about to find out we saying the FACTS and talking it out to try and help one another figure it out or maybe help the creator figure it out - so don't call people out as if we are bad people for talking about issues we are having & going into details WHAT is happening and what was tried to fix it. Me and my community tried everything we know to do but found nothing sadly, so we just removed it and maybe will add it back when it works again.

@Psychotic-Cielia You seem to have misinterpreted my reply. For one, the mod downloaded/installed perfect on my own computer, however, it had an issue downloading/installing to my dedicated server (HostHavoc). After fixing the folder/file (renaming them), it works perfect on the server now too. The mod only fails to install appropriately on servers that use their own 3rd party software to download from the steam workshop. I suspect a few of the server providers use similar, if not the same, 3rd party software. Secondly, only after figuring all this out and pointing it out to the community, I mentioned cutting the guy some slack, and respectfully so. Obviously there's an issue with the mod, but we have a work around for the time being as @Papasaurus so kindly mentioned earlier. I was not trying to be snarky, I'm just super happy we can get the mod to work again. :D

Ya a few people have tried what you did but didn't work for some unfortunately for me and another friend of mine who uses ASM it would just change the folder right back to what it was in the next update either it be mod or ark, not even an update for this mod - therefore, we would have to constantly keep changing it back but even when we did it still made no difference. The mod for most of people downloads/installs perfectly fine but just would not work WITHIN the game itself unless on single-player - it acted as if it wasn't download but you check game mod files & server ini files it is there, having no issues installing/downloading. This is a feedback related discussion involving issues though, not being disrespectful in any way but people need to keep in mind that just because it works for you or some doesn't mean it does for all and therefore saying things like "others just need to chill out" or as in others words, "cut the guy some slack" is irrelevant when all that is going on here is feedback regarding common issues that have been a problem since the mod was first release & have been reported to the creator multiple times by multiple different people but so far no feedback in return, news, responses or updates fixing any of these issues - the updates mainly consist of the Dragon itself such as sound, movement, animation, stat & scaling tweaks and because of this some people feel they are not being heard when reporting these problems, so i made this discussions to try and help with that as it even says so. All in all, i am not being mean/salty or whatever else but making it very clear that it honestly wasn't even necessary to make that remark to the people in here to begin with, if someone was being very rude/insulting/mocking etc in regards to the mod or creator then ya sure but no one has from what I see only stating the facts - and though some may come off as rude, I know for a fact some things people reply to this discussion about is only a repeat of what they or someone else already said and pulling the entire "oh well, it worked for me..so it must be [blank]" for that is just immature but those comments were removed now. If it works for you, cool & if you want to explain what you did that is fine too but remarks that are not relevant then keep to yourself & this isn't directed all at you or jabbing a knife at you or anything, I am saying this for EVERYONE who comments here both present comments & future. We are using his other Dragon mod for now but it is a lot of fun so going to keep it for sure if it will remain compatible, which so far it has.
