Launching Stickies vs Damaging Stickies

Hey so I have not been able to find out how to use abyss runes for Demopan, the abyss buddy is no longer needed which is nice, but can't figure out how to use abyss runes without it which sucks because I would love to try damaging stickies. To break it all down, how do I do it?

Go to versus mode or an online game, practice mode doesnt work currently. And press control + R.
