Can't Get Mod Working
HI, I want to start this because my post in the general comments has not been answered.

First, after subscribing to the mod, it did not appear in my launcher's mod list. Then, I found the mod folder was lacking a descriptor file and the user directory was missing a ugc file.

I tried resubscribing to the mod and verifying the integrity of files, but neither changed anything. Then I copied other descriptor and ugc files and modified them for Fallen Republic. This made the mods visible in my launcher, but the slider is grayed out and a red warning triangle says that "This mod is missing a descriptor file."

At this point, I am considering reinstalling stellaris and the mod files, but I would rather not. Any help or advice from someone with a similar problem, or from the devs?

Thanks!

Are you using a Mac? Because, last time I checked, the mod didn't work on Macs

Hi Everybody,

I'm both glad and disappointed to find out I am not alone. I actually managed to fix the issue, but this was before anyone started replying to this thread.

My issue ended up being that I have two main drives on my pc (big HD for storage, smaller SSD for operations), and the Steam mod download location and the launcher app mod reading location were pointing to the same location but on the two different drives.

I deleted the extraneous folder (which was the one Steam was not downloading to; the launcher should search for the folder on startup), restarted the launcher, and the mod worked normally.

I should have posted this answer then, because my memory of the fix is now hazy (you may have to unsubscribe, delete files, and resubscribe to the mod), but I had figured that this was ignored as my original comment was at the time.

Best of luck to you!!!
