With SOS2 Can I turn the moon into a huge ship?
As the question says, is it possible if I put a hull and hull plating all around. Can I effectivly turn my Moon into a Space Station?

You certainly can! But to actually use it as a space ship and participate in space combat, you'll need a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of thrusters and chemfuel to "launch" it (maybe build an internal engine block or smth). And Voila, you can have your obligatory "That's no moon! Or wait, it actually is..." package.

Are you by any chance trying to make a death star?

no but i am! *exports 50 billion tons of metal to moon*
like a row of 20 spinal mounted lasers that go the entire length of the moon and just obliterate anything close range

SoS2 ships function based off their "orbit" system. You need to launch a ship to put it in orbit, and when it is in orbit, it functions as a ship. SOS2 does not consider the moon in-orbit, so while you can launch a ship from the moon, you cannot use the moon itself as a ship

it would need a whole other combat system to get the projectile firing to target without hitting the borders of the moon (maybe simpler just passthrough specific terrains or work like mortar)
