Lately I've seen few people saying that the lights dont work anymore.

So Im making this to hopefully help some of you guys to get it working again as I had the same problem for some time but only now I managed to fix it. Turns out, its pretty simple.



"CANT FIND THE MOD"

So believe it or not, but this thing is a dupe, which means you can find it the Dupes spawn menu

"EVERYTHING IS ERROR"

This one should be obvious. Most likely explanation is that you didn't download the required addons. If you still see it as an error, then either try rejoining or restarting gmod. If it still doesn't work, then I unfortunetly can't help you.

FIXING THE LIGHTS

Lucky for us the lights are still on this dupe with its code, it just doesnt render the lights or something, for some reason.

Fixing this is simple.

For the best fixing it is recommended to wait until the dupe completely stops making sounds.

1. hold Q and go to the top right corner and click "Wire"
2. go to "Visuals -> Lights -> Light", your tool gun should get selected in your hand.
3. While still holding Q, configure the light to how it should be. You can change few stuff if you want but required stuff must stay the same, just make sure it will work lol.

I personally have it like this:

"model" - doesnt matter as it will not show anyway

"Directional Component" - Off

"Radiant Component" - Off

"Glow Component" - On

"Start on" - On ( IT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TO BE SET TO "On" FOR IT TO WORK )

"Glow Brightness" - 1

"Glow Size" - 256

"Sprite Size" - 124 (Dont think this matters much)

"Constraint" - Weld

"Rope Length" - 64 (Probably also doesnt matter)

"Initial Color" - Red ( 255, 0, 0 )


Now with the tool gun, left click on the wire lights to "update" them.

FYI there are 7 wire lights that need to be fixed.

To fully be sure you found the right light; when you hover over it with your crosshair, it should display some info about it, something like this:

Color:
0,0,0

<black square (current color)>

Wire Light ( <number> )

( <your name> )
-


The light should also show a little glow around it.

Once you left clicked on the light it will be glowing red (or the color you chose)

After all lights are updated and fixed, simply press num5 to activate/deactivate the crossing signal.

Your Functioning Railroad Crossing Signal should be all fixed!

It is recommended to then save it as your own dupe (BUT DO NOT REUPLOAD JUST TO BE SAFE)

If you don't know how; hold Q, go to "Tools" in top right corner, click on duplicator. Right click on the crossing. Then Hold Q, go to "Dupes" menu and click "Save Dupe".

Again, I REALLY hope this helped you! I took way too long on finding a way to fix it.

This method should also work on other dupes with broken wire lights!
