Why not just go directly to Valve and make this promotional?
If there are any Octodad devs here, or if anyone else knows, why did you upload this hat to the Workshop instead of just going directly to Valve to make this a promotional hat?

I'm sure Valve would have allowed it, unless there is some hefty process you had to go through or something.

If you read an announcement, Valve told them to upload it to the Workshop. Here's the evidence: @steviedoors: We tried to do that, but Valve said we needed to go through Workshop like everyone else.

Thanks for the answer Missingnope. I'm wondering why this is the case with the Octodad team. Is it cause they're Indie?
