CENSURED mode, Uncut 2.0 & Kraken's Better Dinos
This is just an FYI for those who might find the following info useful. As has been mentioned in comments, there is a known conflict between ARK Uncut 2.1 and Kraken's Better Dinos. This conflict prevents the buttons in the Character Preview Panel from appearing - buttons to both turn the CENSURED mode off as well as to toggle the visibility of individual Armor. This is very unfortunate to those of us who really want to use both mods.

I have found a workaround, of sorts. But I've only tried this for single-player.

Searching the internet, I found a copy of Uncut 2.0. I managed to overwrite Uncut 2.1 with these files. While leaving this mod still subscribed (Uncut 2.1), I deleted the following two folders before replacing them with the zipped contents of Uncut 2.0 that I downloaded:

{Steam location}\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\2203473621\ {Steam location}\steamapps\workshop\content\346110\2203473621\

Next, I found out the hard way that I had to delete any character data. When you start Ark, go to "Host \ Local" and then click "Delete all singleplayer data". And when given the option, you must create a new character instead of using an existing one. (If you've saved a character preset created with Uncut 2.1, then you may need to delete that as well.)

This should work. Though, the first time you try to start a game it may or may not crash with errors. If so, restart and try again.

If you miss the feature of Uncut 2.1 to toggle the visibility of armor pieces, something similar can be achieved with No Clothes or similar mods.

NOTE: The old Uncut 2.0 does have bugs that were not fixed until the 2.1 version. However, most of these only affect female characters. And I found workarounds for most of these. The two biggest bugs:

  • Bug #1 - Hair disappears or turns into a glossy buzz cut when using a skin on a helmet to make it transparent (i.e., using a mod like No Clothes). The fix: Use a mod like MarniiMods: Hairstyles or Cute Hair to either skin the helmet with a small crown or flower or with fake hair. (It may also be necessary to remove and then re-equip the helmet.)
  • Bug #2 - When using skins on armor, sometimes the nipples disappear, as in the skin there becomes invisible, making it seem hollow. The fix: Temporarily remove the torso armor and immediately re-equip it. Yes, it's that easy to fix.
