Various services will sometimes do community outreach actions. These are just routine things that help the community. For example...

Fire:

- fire detector checks
- demonstration of how to put out kitchen oil fires

Ambulance:

- smear tests
- mammograms

Police:

- crime prevention workshops
- dog handler demonstrations

I've been reading lots about fire service and they seem to get a lot of 'nuisance' incidents such as:

- burning bins (eg. kids were burning wheelie plastic bins and sniffing fumes to get high)
- antisocial fires (eg. setting fire to pile of rubbish, or dry grass in summer)
- false alarms from automated fire alarms (AFAs)

Those things have led fire service to invest in small vehicles with less equipment/crew so they don't need to waste as much resource for the small incidents.

false alarms, grass fire or garbage are already added :)

Idea 1: An incident that both boats and land units can attend?

Example: In London, if a building on the Thames River is on fire it can be tackled both by fire engines (land) and boats (river).

I assume there's no way to create a single incident that would facilitate that, but perhaps there's a way to create two incidents close to each other?

----

Idea 2: Coastal incidents:

- people stuck in mud
- stranded vehicles on beach
- dolphins / whales washed up on beach

----

Loads of real incidents listed in shropshirefire dot gov dot uk -> Incidents link at top of page.

Some examples:

- Overhead electrics overheat causing smoke
- Combine harvester on fire
- Assist ambulance crew with access to patient
- Female attend fire station for removal of wedding ring (LOL!)
- Power surge causing pole mounted transformer fire

Thanks, but this mod won't get any more incidents, only RMT: Fan Expansion.

We will think about your ideas for the upcoming mod. :)

Did you find way to add more equipment / reinforcements / predefined squads via XML? I'm currently working on a mod that will add approx 120 UK fire engines (all based on real vehicles with carefully tuned stats) and it would be super-useful if there's a way to do that sort of thing.

Nope, it's not possible.

Is there a way to enable just part of the functions?

I would love to see more incidents that naturally add hotspots to the map. For example, in real life, you normally have police officers stationed at airports, stadiums, tourist attractions, etc., to deal with the high volume of incidents there. I would love to see some very common, but usually minor incidents at these types of locations.

My goal would be for it to actually be worthwhile to have bicycle units. Currently, the bicycle units are almost useless because it takes them so long to respond places. However, putting a unit at an airport might make sense if you have very frequent calls like "Customer Refusing to Pay," "Unruly Passenger," "Abandoned Suitcase," "Prohibited Item," "Intoxicated Person," "Anxiety Attack," etc., all set to be very common at an airport.

Same thing for stadium, making it so that "intoxicated person," "parking violation," and more, all become very common at the same locations.

quick idea; "childs birthday incident", where theres a few partygoers, and a child, along with an objective on-site thats like "make the child's day" or something, and it requires any police/medical/fire unit to resolve (yk like all those wholesome tiktoks or whatever of lots of police showin up at a birthday party)
