What was the intended means of "bribery" for elections? I couldn't find any events or sitlog entry for it and maintaining high relations/giving them energy credits didn't seem to sway any elections.
also, played as member state for a bit and discovered.
1. you get locked out of switching back to main empire since you must be ruler for the switch effect to work
2. the election event only gives you 2 options seemingly at random.
side note, a longer time for elections (more like the default for democratic empire ruler ones) would be nice, playing at high speeds has a tendency for the entire election to pass by the time you react and hit pause
@1. You can take a decision on your capital. But you get automatically switched back after 1 year (if you have chosen the 1st cheep option). Or do you mean via edict?
@2. You mean if you are a subject? Only subjects which have at minimum inferior in economy are available for election.
@side note: What do you mean exactly? The election goes max 30 days and otherwise as long as the last member has voted.
ty
for 1 I had switched to a member state to fix border gore but didn't get switched back after a year and the "switch control" option under planetary decisions would not work since i was controlling vassal
for 2 some more description of what is necessary for nomination would be good, can't say for sure how they all compared
and 3 I was playing in a coop multiplayer game on fast or fastest speed usually and pretty much as soon as you heard the notification sound and paused the election would be decided. having the election function more like leader elections could fix this (i think bcz the AI decides immediately the election would finish in a day or two)
Maybe a new type of federation would solve all these problems much better!?
That would make sense, Hedgemon already works pretty well for the space feudalism angle since it require a casus belli to leave, maybe some alternative versions to the research cooperative and galactic union if you wanted to play something like the Galactic Republic or technocracy
