Crusader Kings III

Princes of Darkness
Hunting Gods
Has anybody actually succeeded in killing any of the Antediluvians? Tried my hand at all 4 and save scummed to see if any were possible. Ended up dying each time. What impacts your ability to kill them?

Not quite sure about after the Court update, because in only complete playthrough I had the event did not trigger for me at all. Before that, never failed to kill, but always failed the secondary check for actual younger third somehow. But that's the different story.

The final battle always been strightforward prowess check. Back then they told you so. 100 prowess never failed. Did as Camilla, Augustus, Montano and custom Spanish Ashirra vs Lasombra and Set.

If you die before that, you either needed to succeed with moderate mundane stat check or invest into getting help to bypass it.

Again, something might have changed, I have no fresh first hand experience myself. I would not be surprised if it became more dangerous, you are eating gods after all. But those lucky enough to trigger event say that the business is usual.

I was doing a run with the Anda back in late Feb/early March, and either CK3 itself or the mod had a brainfart and made the initial event fire multiple times simultaneously for some reason. The khagan being the hungry lad he was and having basically no compunctions about diablerie, I decided to try my hand at it, and having chewed through enough methuselahs on my way down to 4th Gen to populate a small town, I actually ended up succeeding in my poorly-considered quest to become the most infamous gourmand in eurasia. But like so many others, the many prisoners in the Anda dungeons soon found that such a fine 4-course meal only increased the khagan's appetite...

Unless they've updated it in some weird way since then, it should still be possible as long as you're daring and have dedicated yourself to becoming strong enough for the task ahead of time. It's still a bit of a coinflip even then (the Nossie quest especially has some horribly difficult challenges that were still 50/50 even boosted to 100 Prowess) but with luck and preparation, you can become the sanguine demigod or demigoddess you were embraced to be.

Hey the only real way to have a good chance of winning is to change your stats in console to make them higher and put prowess to 100. 100 prowess gurantees 50 chance at the final battle.

I had one lucky go with Helena once. I believe she munched Set. Her low martial rating makes it highly imporbable affair.

So far managed to get to Lasombra but not kill her! The main things I’m dealing with are my above average martial and intrigue bringing me down but I’m getting round that via copious amounts of having prepared by learning rediculous disciplines and making up for lower stat groups with transformation and manipulation of my lifestyle and spouse assistance! Good luck all!

OhjesusijustateTzmitze, do not accept help while going up to him it became prohibitive after success, you have to complete the challenges yourself!

I did after becoming the avatar of a demon with a certain character. Although I did savescum, I didn't modify anything with console.

Virgin Vampire struggles to diablerize Set because he is too strong. Chad Horus just walks into Set's tome after taking back Egypt and chops him into pieces then carries his body parts into the sun for Ra to finish whats left.

i have no idea what has happened to this quest (i easily completed it some versions ago), i have insane stats, i win every challenge with a 100% chance and still only become young third no matter what or covert to set religion when hunting him

so for some reason for example to hunt tzimice, you need a totally random character to be alive (lambach or something like that), in my game he was slain 200 years before the quest

Lambach seemed surprised how easily the body of the "Antediluvian" crumbled to dust. He knew full well the power of the Tzimisce's ability to mold mortal clay, to disguise and disfigure themselves as well as others. He realized that Lugoj did not in fact consume the "real" Tzimisce Antediluvian. Rather, it was a decoy that was fleshcrafted to look like him.

After further analysis of the carnage, his advanced powers of perception allowed him to see through a veil of illusion where he discovered the real body of Lugoj impaled on a massive wooden hook. Lambach soon realized that during the raid on the cathedral, Lugoj was somehow subdued by the real Tzimisce Antediluvian, who had not been in torpor at all. The Antediluvian fleshcrafted into an impostor Lugoj, fooling everyone into thinking that Lugoj had diablerised the Eldest. Perhaps this was a tactic for survival since the Lasombra Antediluvian had been killed not too long before.

Serves as a proof of how softhearted devs are. I would of course kill you and mount you on a hook as per lore, intstead of giving you pseudo third for nothing.

In other news, scripts for the Hunt havn't changed since April-May, Tzimisce in particular since April 5th.

Save scummed a bunch and managed to complete the nosferatu one. Other than that I got a few psudeo third outcomes but even those were extremely rare. The vast majority of the time you just die to a 50/50 dice roll.

Yes. I just killed the one in Carthage with the wierd time lapse powers. Super fun, great story line.

I succeeded again Set, Lasombra, Tzsimisce, and once Brujah. It's super hard, and you basically have to build your character to very powerful levels to give good chances of winning. Afterward the reward is a little lack luster. You don't actually create or establish a new clan, there are no story lines that extend or deal with the possible repercussions of success, or giving you some new perspective on things. There are no discipline 10 rewards, and you get basically a flat prowess bonus. A huge one, but if you could challenge and win against the eldest it really doesn't effect you much.

I really like this story tree to the diaberie, it felt so awesome to achieve that goal I make it every character's goal for that period. Thanks for the treat.
