Ghoul Succession Question
If I'm playing a ghoul how does succession work? As far as im aware ghouls are immortal right? So if i want to play my revenant descendants am I forced to find ways to kill myself or is there a proper abdication method like torpor for vampire?

Ghouls live longer than mortals but they are not immortal. I believe most are dead by 200 years old.

I haven't played a ghoul long enough to know if thats true in-game but lorewise ghouls are immortal as long as they have a dormitor or they find someway to keep drinking vampire blood. If thats true then that would mean that ghouls would just be a weaker revenant as they don't have their innate bonus to discipline lifestyles.

In mod, they are functionally immortal. We hand wave the "find blood every so often" part.

Ah ok thanks for the reply, so back to my original question since its confirmed ghouls are immortal. is there a way for abdicate or do i need to find ways to get my character killed to play as my heir?

No way to abdicate, unless vanilla has one that I don't know about. If a popular opinion revolt (inquisitor cell one) happens, you can choose to abdicate during the starting event though.

i have seen an attempt suicide thing before in decisions, but don't really recall what splats i seen it on/off. I think i saw it available for ghouls, no idea what triggers the decision to be selectable though. never really paid it much attention before, but it exists in the game in some form at least.

It's a vanilla thing, I think for depressed characters? Not 100% sure

hmmm could be. all i can recall is that i have seen it on more than one playthrough.

Does Valerine or Obeah remove depression traits? I haven't played the Salubri or their thralls much. Do you have lower chances of that depression trait or it growing if you work on any specific traits or attributes?
