Trouble with status effects like blood potency not showing up
Basically the title. My buddy, who joined mid game, made a character and started playing the game with me and my other friend. About two hrs in he mentioned that he was constantly at hunger 5 and masquerade violation 5 and could not do anything about either. Upon looking at his character, he can't hunt and has no blood potency modifier in his character menu. Additionally he doesn't seem to have any ability to actually raise his blood/hunger and no hunters have come after him even though he is at violation 5 (im assuming they do but i haven't experienced much of the mod yet since its our first game). Any help would be greatly appreciated

First, multiplayer is unstable, so everything is possible.

Second, does he belong to a clan and has any disciplines?

If one uses custom character generator, picks a vampire and then picks something along the lines of "chose my lineage later" his attributes like potency and hunger are not set until, well, he choses his lineage later, by manually selecting a sire.

He started as an 8th Gen Malkavian with the standard V5 disciplines + Abombwe (not sure on the spelling) cause he thought the name was funny. He never got the event chain that he was supposed to so he wasn't able to choose age, lineage, predator type etc. Sorry for the late response

I was hoping there was some way to debug the event chain to trigger

If he did not go through the chain, then it should be still available to do it through decisions tab. It will of course wipe eveything supernatural and give him just his clan disciplines. It will also reset blood potency and hunger. Failing that I think he can make a new character in his place or play another existing one.

However, I think it's multiplayer issue. It works in mysterious ways and just fails out of a sudden.

Yeah it's definitely just a bug in multiplayer. It's cool though cause his childe has blood potency and I'm thinking of offing him since he diablorized two stronger kindred (in our game he's like the peak of insanity) and my Cammie rose ain't dealing with that. I checked for the decision before and didn't see it but perhaps I can try again. It's probably because I used ruler designer unlocked to add him in since he joined 20 yrs in. I appreciate the responses homie.
