Grand Tournaments?
I'm on my first play through of the mod, (it's really good,) as the Sword of St-James and noticed that they can't plan grand tournaments. Is this supposed to be the case and is it for all the factions or just the one I'm playing?

Hunters have a lot of other things to do than meaningless medieval entertainement. Most of them are clergymen anyway, the clergy didn't participate in tourneys irl.
Werewolves hate mortals medieval customs most of the time.
Vampires don't eat, have sex or fight in daylight which is basically the three core components of CK3 tournaments.

etc etc. Basically, tournaments are way off flavor for everyone in the mod and have been disabled in consequence.

Would there be a way to make an alternative? Such as a fight club style thing (like shown in NY by night?)

Midnight tournaments are a thing in Ashen Knights. So yes, it's doable.

But activities are a lot of work (they require everything from scripting to localization to art) and we would use the Tournaments Paradox made as a base... which we would mean DLC locked.
All of this result in none of the three of us really being interested in working on those. Plans and motivation might change at any time obviously.

Thanks for your response. :steamhappy: I know next to nothing about the setting so your comments are very enlightening (now I know why I can't seduce the vamps). There is a lot to do as hunters so it's not actually an issue at all. Is there a way to earn and level up the Hastiluder traits? It doesn't really matter since there's no tournaments but it's cool for rp.

No to both.

Hastiluder isn't "disabled" per se in the mod, but only used as background. For example, some vampires that were known for their tournament prowess as mortals start with it (but can't improve it further)

Considering that all travel gives Horse EXP once you unlock the trait thats not quite true. Same as how you can get Bow or Foot EXP from hunting and Wit EXP from board games. Having no trigger to get the trait at all may not be a huge deal but its still a thing. Maybe make getting it a random event in the Elysium or similar decisions?
