love the map but i have only ever had one round where the farmers have won and it was because a farmer obtained two speed items. i think the re-spawn time for clowns should be increased and the flying item needs to be fixed so you don't take fall damage, it literally kills you.

once someone gets the pump shotgun its over

maybe you could add special events to the map; like maybe lava would slowly rise up from the bottom of the map, or acid would rain from the sky.

The Saloon could use an alternate entrance, whether that's a back door or opening the window next to the stairs as there is an awning you can stand on just outside of it. As it stands I only ever see cowboys camp inside mostly on the second floor where they can spray both front doors with the sawed-off shotgun or the pump action if they get it. If all the cowboys get there before the clown does the single clown doesn't stand a chance unless someone gives him a pity kill.

Breadmold, I like the idea, but I'm not experienced enough to implement something that advanced, maybe sometime in the future I will be though :D

Asherron, I'd like to add that, but I need to learn how to edit models first. For the time being, the best way to counter that is to go on the roof, then fall onto the awning you spoke of and throw knives through that window. They typically don't notice you there, basically a guaranteed kill if you're accurate with throwing knives.

wouldn't it be cool if there was a dedicated server for this map?

That would be awesome, especially with the increased player limit, but I don't really care enough to spend the money on it. ArcticVR servers seem great from what I've seen, I might be able to setup some sort of patreon page to fund the server, but I doubt that anyone would pay. I could also start making more maps and throw those in the rotation too.

NEW MAP WITH ZOMBIES
Breadmold 27 Oct, 2020 @ 8:57am
what if you turn one of the buildings in the town into a shop; you could buy weapons, upgrade your current ones, or maybe the shop could sell revives for your team. this shop could also be used to buy something that could be used to build forts, or something.

(also thank you for replying to my ideas)

one more idea: you could add a lobby for the map. like whenever the server first starts, there could be a shooting range in the lobby. also whenever the round ends, everyone would get teleported back into the lobby for a little bit.

These are all good ideas, but more powerful weapons would make it difficult for the clowns, revives would make the game too complicated, and a building thing would be used to block off doors for an easy win. A lobby between rounds would be cool, but then again, that would be time that they could just be playing the actual game. Thank you for the suggestions.

make a zombie theme map, just take an old l4d2 map, add zombie npc that can kill humans, and you start off the round with one infected, can be a regular player model with knifes, the zombies have 10 min to kill all survivors, when the timers is down, humans need to run to an evac point wich will trigger the end games zombie players are a bit faster than humans, human can choose whatever weapon they want

you can do it, and youll get a good respond,

this mod existed in the past, people loved it, but the map never received updates and got delete.

i can even send you a video of what it look like, if you accept my friends request
I don't want to steal something that has already been made, I want to create something new and succeed on my own. If you want L4D2 in Pavlov, learn how to make maps and try it for yourself, I'm not going to dump hours of development time into a project I have no interest in, I don't get paid for this and I don't care how popular the maps I make become, I just try to make fun content for my fellow Pavlov players to enjoy. If you do decide to make a L4D2 map, I can help you with the infection part, but you're on your own with everything else.

i have a solution to all of these issues: NPCs

NPCs could balance out the shop and it's weapons, since there could be a ton of them (including the players themselves).

you do have a point about that the revive system would make the game too complicated, so maybe you shouldn't add that...

what if there were items or methods to break down things that the farmers build; like maybe every clown (including NPCs) would spawn with a hammer that destroys walls slowly, but it only has one use per life. the farmers could only place one wall per life too.

you're right that the lobby would take away time from actually playing the game. however, what if instead of that you would spawn in like normal, but if you are alone and waiting for actual players to join, NPCs would spawn instead to replace the missing players.

(P.S. NPCs could be weaker than actual farmers; whether it be that their A.I intentionally makes them dumb, or they deal less damage to farmers.)

(P.P.S. i'm not trying to contradict you or make you feel bad - i'm just throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks.)

thank you for your time.
