He’s more focused on healing his teammates because it’s furthering his experiments on them, but yes, he wouldn’t care if he killed the occasional merc on the way. He is violent all the time but he’d rather focus on his experiments than killing someone.

the medic being violent refers to when he's firing a weapon or swinging a melee. It makes your character's face turn evil when you do it. So you're mostly correct OP

I think is when he is attacking someone or ubering someone you'll see his face with concern.
