mao was noted for the geoside of culture and science in china. you failed to show this by not giving this civ a negivate hit in science of over 25%. Mao also killed all all the traditional crafts such as bow making because it was viewed as a rich elite hobby.

Mao is also noted for the invation of Tibet and the destruction of the library there the monks claimed it was 11'000 old. Not sure if that true but it was the worlds oldest library.

I could go on an on.. but giving china culture and not hit to science is pointless. It was not until hong kong and the collaps of the old guard for corrupt capilist inside the new system do you get this corporate dicatorship of monoploy slave owners today.

Hey man I'm not sure if you can understand Chinese, so I use EN here, first of all, this is an excellent mod, and I hope everyone like it, and I hope I can help you improve this mod. Okay, first, I suggest you change the soundtracks cause I feel like I'm listening a old fashion redio when I was playing this mod. If you can't find any HD soundtracks I can help you find some. Second, I hope I can see some buildings after I complete constrcting people's commun cause sometimes it really confuse me because there is noting on the land. I suggest you can place trading post on it since they look like some "bulidings". And this is the suggestion I can make so far, thank you for doing this, comrade, this is really fun! LOL

Thank you for using English. It's hard enough learning Lua, XML, and SQL to mod this thing without having to learn another human language! (lol).

You are more than welcome to help in any way you are willing to. Just as Mao in real life belongs to The People, so does this mod.

I purposely selected low definition soundtracks copied from old vinyl records directly from the Cultural Revolution for two reasons 1: it keeps the file size low so that people can more easily download it, and 2; it gives a genuine experience because you are hearing the same quality heard back then. HOWEVER; I would be more than happy to include higher quality soundtracks and replace some of the ones that exist because I would like the most pleasant experience for the mod user. If you can direct me as to where to download higher quality Cultural Revolution songs then I will be more than happy to put them in the mod.

Artwork is in the making currently. I'm working on modifying the TERRACE_FARM artwork to present a communal circular sort of commune there. The ART_DEF for the units is in the beginnings of progress as I have yet to even start on that. For now, in the next version (version BETA 0.5) I will try to modify the Commune to look like the Terrace Farm or something.

Hello, there - I decided to take a stab at fixing up the art a bit, and I thought that I should begin with the icons for the icon atlas. There are, however, several differences:

- The PLA icon is now a (modern) regiment of PLA Ground Force soldiers.
- The Great Hall of the People shows a photograph of the interior.
- Mao Zedong's icon is now his iconic portrait.

(I do not support communism or Maoism. I just want to help get a mod on its feet.)

Can you make a South Korea Civ? South Korea in the present day? That'd be so cool if you did, I loved your Mao Zedong China Civ.

It would be great if you added the Type 96 Tank to replace the Modern Armor as a slightly weaker yet cheaper and faster to build modern armor. I like military accuracy (especially since Civ V is mostly military). As for the PLA, they should replace Marines instead and be slightly cheaper. (This way they aren't made obsolute by Great War Infantry as the PLA is still China's Armed Forces Institution). As for any politics I dont care. I know my feelings on China's famous/infamous Premier and that has no place in my heart as far as gaming is concerned. What I do like is good accuracy on military affairs and still be balanced in a way that doesnt chew realism up and spit it out (I do agree slightly with a decifit to China's bonuses but instead it should affect science by 10% and apply a slight (Maybe 10 to 25%) bonus to trade as China has become the Number One Consumer Products Exporter to date. If this is taken as anything other than constructive criticism then I'll let you know that was not my intention. I simply am trying to advise you in the direction of military realism and gameplay balance. I'm not rushing you either, Haste makes waste.

I would love the People's Commune to grant 4 food and 1 culture instead of production, and make it so that the People's Commune's constructed a little slower than normal improvements for balance.

Mao Zedong feels too overpowered... make him some kind of domination-focused Gandhi, considering Mao made lots of population growth policies during his rule.
Make it so that cities have a chance to starve if your population is unhappy, then the player will have to micro-manage happiness and growth more and think carefully before baby-spamming with the (new) People's Commune.

The People's Liberation Army could use a small tweak, easier to produce, very low health, and a one-tile ranged attack (like gatling guns), plus the ability to move after attacking like every other unit. The PLA would deal massive damage when attacking, but could die horribly when attacked by a faster / stronger unit.

Could u plz make the Chinese less OP, the game gets out of balance entirely :(
