The crimson sand is not spreading
I placed a crimsand and waited about 10 min and it hasn't spread at all yet

do /debug (with /admin if needed)

is there a cyan square on you?

furthermore, it can just be bad luck, their spreading is random chance to see if they'll actually spread, and then it picks a random block nearby and does nothing if the block it picks can't be spread to

also, what environment is the block in? if it's grassy with no sand, they can take even longer since dirt can't be spread to
