Charlemagne should have quick, herculean and melancholic traits IMO.

While I agree that he should be tall I have not seen studies to support him being very robust at all. I have read he was supposedly temperate.
Do you have any good sources for him being melancholic?

Any plans to look into the liege relationships of the independent provinces in the middle of large kingdoms like Lotharingia/Byzantium/the Caliphates/Khazaria/Bavaria/Tibet, or is this not an issue/an issue that'll solve itself when the AI conquers them?

I understand that a lot of guesswork went into the names of many characters in N, NE, and E europe but many non-christian characters have names that are localizations of biblical names, such as "Jozef" for Slavic characters. Other names such as "Konstantin" or other variations are not biblical names but are strongly associated with christianity and would be unlikely to be very common or exist at all in areas still centuries away from christianization

Also would there be any way to change the name of the Germanic religion in Saxon areas from "Asatru" to something less specifically associated with the Norse variety? (perhaps simply "Germanic" as was done in CKII?)

Is there a way to perhaps fix the kneecapping of tech development in Europe, especially as regards tribals? Over 200 years for an independent tribal government to go feudal seems a bit ridiculous, especially since tribals can't develop tech quickly like feudals can so kneecapping their starting tech holds them back by centuries.

In my experience these lords get vassalized/subjugated/conquered soon after game start.

This is not touched upon in this mod and is within the scope of a culture mod, which would be compatible and could be used with this mod.

Does this mod mess with the crusade trigger points at all? I am using this mod with the early medieval eras mod and I keep getting crusades around 800 AD against Jerusalem, and I can't quite figure out why?

Neither of my mods edit the crusade triggers. But a mod that does that and force later holy wars would be completely compatible with my mods =)

Will you be adding an earlier start date at any time?

Very unlikely. Its a huge undertaking filling in the empty spots in the history files and it gets greater the longer back in time you go.

If Pdx adds mechanics for empires and nomads that works for migrational period or even earlier then I'll never say never =P

I think Saxony should be tribal for historical accuracy, consdiering the whole war was started by them RAIDING the franks, something feudals cant do!
Also, the development level in saxony should be at least a little lower than that of Frankonia.

Additionally, lotharingia should REALLY get a name change for obvious reasons
