Red Wood Forests?
alpha biomes

You can play with those biomes without problems as far as I know. Biomes uses a Score system so they will be available if they get more score on the tiles.

Hey do you plan on making this mod compatible with the Pokemon mod?
Balthoraz  [developer] 22 Oct, 2020 @ 5:17pm
With PokemonRim? Probably not, at least in short-time. Its a very specific mod and actually I'm working on other priorities.

Biomes like moist deciduous forests really miss tree and plant variety

I do not know if "More Vanilla Biomes" plays well with this mod. But I liked their Alpine Meadow and Cloud Forest Biomes. If I could only choose one, it would be Alpine Meadow. Lots of rich soil allowing to build up a stockpile of food before the harsh winters.

Well, they are not "biomes" as it. Alpine meadows after editing actual biomes I will start working on additional biomes based on elevation, so Alpine Meadows will have a representing biome.

That's like how people asked me for a Redwood Forest biome, but Redwood Forest is not a biome, it's biome is Temperate Rainforest. So, something similar will happen here.

I would say the Alpine Meadows is a biome between Boreal Forest, Tundra and grass/shrubland. It would be Alpine Tundra in actuality. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpine_tundra Check the last paragraph under the Flora section.

I'd just hope for some small amount of trees for the wood need.

Hmmm maybe I can do something with that in a future, when adding elevation requirements. At the moment biomes are taking care only the rainfall, temperature and swampiness, as elevation is directly related with temperature (higher elevation, lower temperature).

But I can add new biomes based on that. After releasing the new patch I'm working on (with tons of changes), I will start checking that.

I think making frozen tiles as pumpable as their liquid variant is good idea.

Adding <driesTo> node to the terrain defs will do the work.

IceShallow
<driesTo>Gravel</driesTo>

IceOceanShallow
<driesTo>Gravel</driesTo>

IceMarsh
<driesTo>Soil</driesTo>
