The problem with Dwarf, I think, is that their LLs are not so much tied to specific units. (With the exception of Ungrim). But I agree that they need some love and currently spamming Ironbreakers and Artillery is the only way to go
True, I really hope the DLC after the wood elf one is about Beastmen.
Regarding Azhag, I think it would be fitting for him to give the "fear" attribute to his army while lowering the enemy's leadership, but the stated goal here is encouraging diversity so that wouldn't make much difference in that regard unless you specify specific units to get fear, but any that would make sense probably already have it. But I think it would make sense for him to buff Manticores and possibly other monsters, maybe Manticores could get a constant negative leadership aura around them to make them even more intimidating.
What kind of unit would the LLs be buffing though? I can see Vlad buffing Bloodknights due to his relationship with the Drakenhof Templars, Ghorst buffing Corpsecart and zombies. Mannfred leading a more beast themed army maybe? But that leaves Isabella and Kemmler without any specific army, any suggestions? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not that much into lores of warhammer
Or maybe you can do Beastmen and or Chaos to flavor them up some since they're probably not going to get any love from CA until WH3 and god knows when that's coming.
As for Isabella and Kemmler... Since people are already used to getting a vampire stack for Isabella and that's unlikely to change, maybe make her level 10/20/30 traits give you combat bonus/extra capacity for vampires? And for Kemmler maybe something for Cairn Wraiths and Hexwraiths?
High Elves absolutely do not need it, Tyrion gets massive red tier buffs, Alarielle's Sisters of Avelorn are nothing short of amazing, Alith Anar's Shadow Walkers ditto, Eltharion's mistwalkers take a bit of effort to be better than red skill tree units but if you really want specifically them to be better there are mods for it. Oh and Imrik's dragon princes don't need help.
My vote goes for Empire, but here's some ideas for other things.
Empire:
Karl Franz: Reiksguard(specifically armor piercing in later levels) and Greatswords(better melee and defense stats).
Volkmar: Flagellants(more physical resistance, maybe a little armor piercing, maybe a little melee ATK/def), Knights of the Blazing Sun(armor piercing, better melee ATK/def), Luminarks(better reload and ammo).
Balthasar needs the least help, if you want to give him anything: State Troops(armor, physical resistance, melee defense).
Beastmen could benefit from it, just not minotaurs because minotaur spam is the end game doomstack.
Khazrak: Gor and bestigor buffs.
Malagor: War beasts.
Morghur: Chaos spawn and other war beasts.
Vampire Counts' problem is that they don't have a lot of specific unit identity and anything you do won't change late game stacks, you'll always want graveguard, vargheists and blood knights. If anything I'd focus on the more unused bloodline lords.
Isabella and Von Carstein BL: Buffs for felbats, direhounds, varghulfs and terrorgeists.
Strigoi Bloodline: Buffs for ghouls and crypt horrors.
For dwarves, Grombindal and Belegar are sort of overlapping.
Thorgrim: Buffs for Longbeards and thunderers.
Grombindal and Belegar: Buffs for dwarf warriors, rangers, quarrelers.
Ungrim: SLAYERS.
Bretonnia's late game stacks usually involve Questing Knights, Grail Knights, Royal Pegasus Knights and Hippogryph Knights. Shock Cavalry loses value as generic cavalry start getting enough Charge values that they can fill both roles.
Leoun: Men-At-Arms(Melee attack/def, leadership), Grail Knights(token armor piercing, better melee/def).
Alberic: Footsquires(better melee atk/def), Knights of the Realm(better melee/def, token armor piercing).
Fay Enchantress: Battle Pilgrims(better atk/def, armor), Grail Reliquaire(new AoE buff or debuff).
Repanse: Knights-Errant(better melee/def, token armor piercing).
To be honest, doom stacking is a problem for almost every race. But Lizardmen really doesn't have any choices, their only choice in the late game is spamming dinos. So I could see them coming next.
As for Beastmen, I really think (hope) the next DLC is going to be a rework for Beastmen. I mean, with the wood elves getting a DLC, what's the excuse not to rework them too?
I like the idea of combining a ghost army, but I think a normal vampire hero stack is just a vanilla doomstack and does not necessarily need more buffs.
Wow thanks for the input. The Dwarves have me concerned though, it seems their only choice is defensive melee infantry + missile infantry. I am wondering if a gyro stack is somewhat lore friendly for the high king? (Of course to make gyros good they will need some ridiculous buff).
My problem with empire is, I just don't know what unit Gelt should be given. I don't think he is famous for leading any specific unit in lore. But I guess giving him state troops will allow players to actually make use of infantry since the empire really doesn't have great infantry for the late game.
