Ghost Hunters is a game where players are tasked with collected enough evidence to prove the existence of ghosts and win the game. In order to do this, you must first grab a tape from the technician desk. Secondly, purchase equipment to track the whereabouts of ghosts and paranormal activity. With a full team, the best strategy may be to have the technician stay at the homebase, monitoring the cameras and managing the generator.

Objectives:

Optional objectives can be viewed by pressing [Q]. Your main objective is to gather enough tapes to complete your investigation in time.

How to store evidence:

Once you have both grabbed a tape and filled it with evidence, it’s time to return it back to homebase. By pressing [E] on the VHS Player, your tape will be stored and you can grab a new one and keep hunting!

Equipment overview:

Flashlight: This is the simplest piece of equipment. It will shine the way for you in the dark. Be careful though, the flashlights are cheap and often crap out, making you try to turn it back on multiple times.

Rempods: This is a placeable EMF detector. It detects paranormal activity and lights up green when there is nearby activity. When near your rempods, you can collect equipment evidence when they light up.

EMF Detector: This is the most useful piece of tech for tracking ghosts. By holding this equipment, you can detect paranormal evidence in varying degrees. It will indicate distance from a spirit by the level indicated. The detector will give you equipment evidence when achieving a full five spike.

Spirit Box: Holding the spirit box will allow you to hear the voices of ghosts and spirits when they are near. When activated, the Spirit Box will supply you with audio evidence.

Polaroid: The polaroid camera can be used to light your way as well as collect evidence. The polaroid camera can reveal spirits and capture photographic evidence of paranormal objects.

Camera: The camera’s night vision feature can be used to see in the dark, but runs on a limited battery. When recording, a player can collect evidence of paranormal activity simply by looking at it, make sure the camera is rolling with a battery!

Tripod Cameras: These allow the technician to see the environment in night vision, informing players of unseen activity, as well as collecting evidence from the safety of homebase. While holding these, it will emit a glow around you allowing for easy navigation.

Mounted Lights: These lights run on the homebase generator, which is maintained by the technician. It lights a sizable part of the environment.

Terminal: This is technician equipment. It allows the player to see current stats of everyone’s equipment, allowing for communication and more efficient investigation. It has a rebooting period after each use.

Projector: The project has multiple slides each with different information displayed. It shows a map with current player positions, a server leaderboard, and evidence collection progress.

Commands:

!r - Casts a vote to restart the game.

!volume - Changes the volume of the soundtrack.

!give - Transfers money to another player
