Got feedback on how the mod performs? Post it here.

Right now I'm looking for feedback on balance and how the Arquebusier regiment performs ingame, let me know your opinions!

Thanks again for the mod. I've been looking for this exact thing. One thing though, can you tell us which type of unit is each new unit you created? For example Black Riders, is that consider light calvary and is buffed by buildings that help that type?

Hello! Yes the Black Riders are Light Cavalry, I haven't gotten around to making an icon for them specifically but they're meant to be light and mobile with a carbine. All of my unit types are under the "Arquebusier" custom type that have their own unique modifiers and stat bonuses from the Gunnery Range building.

Schwarze Reiters, leaving aside the anachronism, were really more analogous to Heavy Cavalry, not Light. The pistol was an alternative to lance, they were generally armored to some degree and once the pistols were discharged, they didn't reverse to get a reload but get in combat with their sidearm, which would usually be a cavalry sword. They should be Heavy Cavalry and their typing, stats, numbers etc. should reflect this.

If you want to add light cavalry that use pistols, look into the Caracole tactic, which is another anachronism that was a 16th century attempt to make handguns work with light cavalry, but not any worse than the Swarts themselves. You can add cultural Men-at-Arms from light cavalry units that used caracole, or just add a generic "Caracole Cavalry", which would be accurate enough.

Anyway that's my two cents. Good luck, seems like a cool mod so far.
