With a title like Hopeless, you'd probably expect something bland and depressing, and you're almost right! The abandoned and dark atmosphere of the night gives a constant depressive feeling, invoking a heavy sense of dread and terror. On the other hand, there is nothing insipid about these maps. Each one is iconic, well designed and attractive. The details are more than enough to show the genius of a dark, desperate, hopeless world.

The gameplay is quite intense and frenetic. From the first to the last map, it's all about constantly moving while paying attention to your resources. In particular, the finale is a bit overwhelming, especially the final generator area where tanks will start spawning in pairs. If you're playing with bots, you might as well say goodbye to them. This area also has a considerable drop in FPS, but, other than that, I found no major bugs.

This campaign despite being short, offers great quality. The maps are fantastic and fun, offering you new levels to explore and hordes to wipe out. As the saying goes: quality over quantity, but still leaves you wanting a little more!

In conclusion, a great set of new maps. Well designed, fantastic, challenging and consistent.
