There are ways to play specific music. Please try either method.

■ Pattern 1: Change the order of add-ons to play other music add-ons.
■ Pattern 2: Delete the mute sound source in music_mute.


■ Pattern 1: Change the order of add-ons to play other music add-ons.

□ What you need □
・music_mute add-on
・Other Music add-on
・STEAM Settings> Interface> "Check Show Web Address"
・In-game settings> Keyboard / Mouse> "Allow developer console: Enabled"

1.Open addonlist.txt in the "Left 4 Dead 2 \ left4dead2" folder.

2.Find 2275957976.vpk (music_mute), cut out the line that says 「　workshop \ 2275957976.vpk　　" 1 "」 and paste it at the bottom.

3.Then find the line where the music add-on is written and paste it above music_mute.
(To find the add-on number, check the end of the address bar at the top of the add-on page.
For example, for this add-on, "https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2275957976"
"2275957976" at the end is the add-on number)

4.Save addonlist.txt.

If in-game, open the console after saving and type "update_addon_paths".
Then open the add-on and see that the order has changed.

■ Pattern 2: Delete the mute sound source in music_mute.

□ What you need □
・GCFScape
・vpk.exe (in the bin folder of L4D2)

1. Go to "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Left 4 Dead 2 \ left4dead2 \ addons \ workshop" and look for "2275957976.vpk".

2. Open GCFScape and drag and drop 2275957976.vpk onto GCFScape.

3. Extract the "root" folder to the ”Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons" folder.

4. Open the "root" folder and find the music file you want to play.
(For example, if you want to play end credit music, delete "themonsterswithin.wav" in sound / music / unalive)

5. When all is done, open the "Left 4 Dead 2 \ bin" folder and find vpk.exe.

6. Drag and drop the "root" folder to vpk.exe and check that root.vpk is created in the addons folder.

7. Change "root.vpk" to music_mute etc.

8. Unsubscribe to music_mute for the workshop.
