Played with the Prinicipality of Antioch for about 20 turns and I have to say - it's both damn difficult and bloody fun so far! Defeating the enemy requires a lot of good cavalry because the Emirates seem to lack cavalry. Once you've defeated their cavalry, standard H&A.

Campaign play relies on picking your fights since there's fights EVERYWHERE. You're surrounded by muslims and christians and you can't expand too far because everyone wants your territories. Too stretched and you won't be able to clean up your rebellions.

There is a bug in Damascus, however. I can't seem to replace the main city. When I click it, it simply doesn't allow me to replace it with my faction's main building. Maybe that's intended because it's a muslim site?

Yes, its intended (written on main page):
- Now u can convert only civil cities level 1 and deconstruct all barb cities (forts). Reason: city conversion takes many tens of years, and this mod is 12 tpy.
I started a campaign as the Roman empire and I noticed that the Rum garrisons get better units than their armies and there seems to be an issue with the names. I had my daughter Anna seek a husband and the guy's name is Dagobert. I also noticed that the late roman units don't have the shield wall ability while their early version does. Is that intentional ?

Rum garrisons and armies are ok. Anna choosed great foreign husband, which there were many in Byz. About shield wall - i will check.
Its not campaign impressions btw. Better write such things in comments.

Overall great mod ( i played a bit of England and longer campaign with Pomerania
some nitpicks:
-penalty for garrisoning army seems a bit harsh considering AI don't care about this new mechanic(same problem with DeI), is it possible to lover penalty if you garrison smaller army or only general as a kinda governor ?
-playing as Pomerania later i wasn't able to convert some of the settlements main building, is it some kind of mechanic ?
-stretched spaghetti lines look a little bit silly on the battlefield and are easy target for cav
-artillery is kinda weak to the point i stopped using it.

Thats all, like i said great mod
btw i love the dynamic combat animation and how units mix, this one thing i really don't like about vanilla and DeI, units sees to fight like they have 70-80 years old

Super job, bravo.For me its the food which is hard to anticiped at the next turn, iam a bit lose with it.But really super work. The units, the new walls of colonies, the textures of houses, ect...really well done. Iam enjoy to play at this mod.Thank u.

they completely removed spaghetti lines in DeI mod im not sure is there a stand alone combat mod that removes it, i play mostly DeI, but I heard some other overhauls also removed it

you will add the Czech duchy (the Czech Kingdom) because at that time the Czechs already had in the empire what independence they had since 1085. I can show you what the Czech troops and armor looked like directly from the Czechs

Im for BOHEMIA, not Czechs = Duchy of Bohemia  870–1198 (Přemyslid dynasty)
What about Přemyslid eagle, instead of the more modern Bohemian lion?
