[RESOLVED] Unable to tow trailers on MP server; bug or other?
I have a server running on a linux box 5 feet away. Myself and a couple friends play on it.

I have the Autotsar trailers and all required mods installed. This also includes better towing. Whenever we try to pull a trailer, some crazy desync happens. Below is a link to a video I recorded just now. This also happens with the standard flat-bed trailer.

Last night, we tried attaching a trailer to this same vehicle. It wouldn't move. We gave up on it and drove down the street. We looted an entire building, and when I tried to get into a DIFFERENT vehicle we brought with, the original black car (seen in the video) went shooting across the map, and ended up halfway between where we were and the abovementioned trailer was.

EDIT: Resolved by disabling better towing mod on the server; only seems to work in SP.

For the record the trailers work fine in singleplayer with the same mods running. Perhaps it's simply a de-sync bug with MP?

just had the same problem just attached a trailer and i can not move it

better towing don't work in MP. Trailers just stops. Just unsubscribe from better towing and all shoud work.

ive hella gotten this mod to work in mulitplayer before so idk what that guy is talking about..
i mean, does it work every time? no. i think you gotta get lucky and finesse it a bit when you first log in.
the mod literally is titled [MP updated].

That may be, but after multiple hours, server reboots, mucking about and googling, the only way I've gotten trailers to work in MP is with the "Better Towing" mod disabled.

What difference does it make how the mod is signed! Tested by two different teams on different servers with different builds of mods. With the addition of better towing, trailers stop working - either they stand up tightly, or they move in jerks. When using a coupling from the mod itself, jerks and unsynchronization of the position of the machines. The author was written about this more than once - he changed the name of the mod and calmed down on this.

What are you talking about? What "coupling from the mod itself"? There are no coupling mechanics in this mod. All coupling is controlled by the game itself!

iBrRus I'm not talking about your mod! I'm talking about better towing, because of which your trailers stop working in multiplayer. 4 topics in discussions with the same problem and all have better towing installed. So I advise everyone to turn it off
