♦Planet Suggestions♦
I love planets and I'm usually pretty open for ideas. If I love an idea, I just may expand on it! However, don't feel bad if I don't pick your idea. :cozybethesda:

Keep in mind, I am ONE person, and can be busy at times.

I've got a planet mod suggestion.
I wanted to suggest an Oceanic Moon/Erchius Moon (Base names) planet, which can be like an ocean with Erchius Fuel and moon terrain.

This is a curious idea..
So basically, just a moon that acts like an ocean, with the liquid being Erchius Fuel?
It probably wouldn't be very custom, and it would be pretty barren, like the original moons.

Do you think it is possible for you to create a planet that is centered around psionics? Stellaris has something like this being a shroud world but I wonder if this would actually be a good idea for a starbound world.

Huh, curious..
Could you elaborate further?

this is actually a good question, but i'm imagining something like a mangroove-forest planet/sub biome, where there are actually big lakes(that use the idea of the oceanic worlds infinite water system,to avoid drain them) between chuncks of actual flat-ish ground, thing is: it's really worth creating a new sapling? otherwise possible recipient for the "forset" may be those tree that look similars or may fit the role well,if so,possible idea is actualy using a low "lake" depth while keep planting trees in the bottom of the lake(an example, look what happens when you're on an oceanic world that is very small size, islands literally generate underwater and palms grow underwater too,and rarely some palms even pop up from the surface of the ocean). I think Planet Tier should be 2.

To follow this mechanic,i think it needs actually an Oceanic world type due to the "infinite water" generation,so may work as "main planet type" biome while adding the Grassland as possible sub biome may be cool. Another thing i'm wondering is the possible backgound/parallax....

Void planets. They covered in pretty space void and only there grows void trees with void fruits, also several angry evil enemies(stars maybe?)

Planet-city/ship. A planet-like building or ship that fully automated and have some living space from previous pilots, those "ship" however, are now left to be alone, drifting in space now, no oxygen and place for life

Food planet. An expansion of my previous idea, cheese planet, this planet looks like it contains humongous amout of different food types and maybe even food trees! (Jesus.) also there is some "alive" food(angy meat??? Nice work, Oleg.).

Interesting.. I'll think about it. It sounds simple enough, planet-wise.
However, is that the only thing custom about it? What about custom encounters, monsters, or etc?

Void as in darkness, space, or nothingness? Sounds kinda cool..!
However, I already have star enemies with my Starry Planet mod, so they'd have to be something else, heh.

oh,custom encounters? Minding in fact that it's similar to a Mangroove forest, possible encounter may include alligators(that may follow the swimmer AI),big bad snakes on the ground(inflict poison on hit),small fish on the lakes(like ocean's small fish,so players instead of simply farm can even hunt for fish),while i'd like to add some big spider as enemy,i'd rather avoid that(many ppl are arachnofobic,i'd rather try avoid unsettle them)....why not add even a kind of Pirhana(but more alien look)? May spawn alone, while spots a player, may summon 3 others and charge(spawns should be use another ingame ID,to avoid infinite self summons)
SkullNoise 26 Aug, 2021 @ 1:38pm
but, yea,i think as last mob,if ppl will not be disgusted, why not giant mosquitos?

(ik someone is already cursing me for this suggestion, like if in summer there's not enough of them)

Still all the mobs should look more alien than earth-based ones, for the sake of the planet being...not earth i suppose.

I was about to suggest a similar idea of a "void" planet to be the opposite to your starry planet, my idea would be similar to Extended Story's Abyss planet with it being a pitch-black version of a midnight planet.
Maybe your version of a lightless planet could be a haunted forest or Halloween themed?
