If you'd like to further help test stability, consider using this test mod which duplicates the original game files: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2313160974
Note: I'm interested primarily in the multiplayer stability of the test mod, although if you do actually crash using it singleplayer I'd definitely be interested in hearing about it.

Any idea what's causing this and how I can fix this?

Edit:
Running CBPlauncher.exe in the workshop folder and then copying the files to the main directory of RoN seemed to have fixed this issue.
I'll add some kind of fix to the to-do list, thanks for reporting the problem. I expect it's something that can be fixed within the next few weeks, but I haven't dealt with that part of the launcher's code for a while so can't give a firm timeline.
It sounds like it's all working fine for you now (?), but if you run into a similar error again, you should be able to fix it by wiping your settings files by deleting all the folders located in:
Thank you. I looked in my RoN AppData and removed all the leftover files, but that didn't work. Definitely wouldn't have looked for the MHLoppy folder haha! Great mod by the way :)
During startup, the launcher will try to quickly check if RoN was recently installed - if it seems that it was and also if you've run the launcher before, it'll provide a prompt letting you reset the launcher settings before everything else loads.
This will have some amusing consequences if the there are any official patches in the future (it could false-positive this check for every single CBP user), but we can deal with that if it ever happens.
In the worst-case scenario the not-patched warning should only last for a maximum of two hours since your RoN reinstall.
I’m running a MacBook Pro 14 with M1Pro with the latest Mac OS version (Monterey) and the latest Crossover version
RoN runs fine without CBP (except audio but that is another problem)
I don’t have any other mods loaded
I guess ideally we would have some kind of cross-platform fallback option for load/unload that doesn't involve doing it all manually, but there are no other code contributors.
