Class/Species Overview: Viper
- The Viper features three specializations. Constrictor is all about the Viper's Tongue Grab and Bind And Crush abilities, in terms of both making them deadlier as well as keeping enemy fire off of the Viper while binding. Lamia is all about versatility, and includes skills that can help the Viper conduct fantastic surprise attacks as well as be a capable rifleman. Venomous is exactly as it sounds; it emphasizes the use of poison as well as other sources of DoT effects (such as bleeding) and includes abilities that help the Viper deal more damage and avoid enemy fire to let the DoTs do their jobs.

- At Squaddie, they not only have their Poison Spit, Bind And Crush and Tongue Grab abilities, but also Molt, allowing them to shed off an Acid or Fire proc. They are immune to poison as well. They also start with the Tongue Pull ability which can be used to yank allies to an adjacent tile.

- Most of the Viper's exotic abilities are completely useless against robots and similar enemies like Andromedons. However, no other alien is better at locking down a dangerous humanoid, of which LWOTC has plenty.

- Their Dodge stat is lower now, but they still gain more as they level up. Enemies will still graze shots against a Viper pretty often.

- Even without a dedicated build, Tongue Grab is an amazing ability. You can use it to bypass a Priest's Sustain or hold a Captain in place while you mop up other enemies in preparation for a Skulljack attempt.

- Vipers can equip and throw grenades.

The enhanced spit does not take effect if an enemy is already affected by a regular poison (e.g. someone else's gas grenade). Considering this is an improved effect, it would be nice if it refreshed the target's poisoned condition with the new damage.
