Class/Species Overview: Muton Beleaguer
- The Muton Beleaguer is a straightforward shooting unit that tends to shine in the use of Overwatch, although they can be proactive or reactive depending on how you build them. They have three specializations. Showdown is about direct firefights, letting the Beleaguer hold a position and break stalemates easily with skills like Duel and Feint. Onset is what you want when it comes to setting up that perfect start-of-the-mission ambush, featuring a diverse selection of area-of-effect abilities. Multifaceted is a bag of tricks, letting the Beleaguer stay mobile and control enemies.

- At Squaddie rank, they have the following abilities: Russian Roulette, Flush, Bandolier, and Left Cross. In terms of stats, they fall between the Muton Trooper and Muton Hunter/Prowler when it comes to durability, and have a decent amount of Aim.

- In direct contrast to the Muton Trooper, the Muton Beleaguer doesn't have a secondary weapon, doesn't have Suppression at all and has a lot less in the way of melee options, but can use skill combinations like Russian Roulette and Covering Fire or Flush and Feint to consistently get results with standard Overwatch. Be sure to get some special ammo ASAP for the Beleaguer's free ammo slot (Bandolier ability).

- The Beam Sweep skill is unique to this class, and has much of the same utility as Saturation Fire. Try to remember that your own soldiers still need cover before you go cutting through all of it.
