the timed bombs look like a good idea, ye it would be so difficult to control. what about a mine layer?
like you shoot mines on the ground and they explode if someone steps on those and takes like 60 damage plus burst in flames.

Class lines blurring?

One thing's for sure, it should not do more damage, stickies are already really powerful.

On fire drops mine
Mines detonate upon enemy stepping on a mine,
Mines cannot be airblasted,
Max of 3 mines can be laid at one time
Mines donot get minicrits
Mines cannot be detonated exept by placing new mines
Mines donot do damage when detonated for new mines
mines damage range according to range from explosion is
10--25--60--75--100--75--60--25--10

Since it looks like a fire like weapon how about....Shoots plasma bombs
Pro: Explotion size increased
Mini Crit on fire enemies
-50% Afterburn time

Cons: Cannot Detonate. Only Explotes went enemie is near
Max 5 Laid Bombs
20% More Damage on yourself

I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while.
[+] 40% faster reload speed
[+] 25% reduction in self damage taken while explosive jumping
[-] 20% damage penalty
[-] -4 max pipebombs out

I think mines should explode when someone get close to them for 1 or 2 meters. It would make player able to put them on walls. Player shouldn't be able to explode them by himself. They should set peopole on fire.
Another stats shouldn't be changed.

How about shooting big projectile bombs, like you have 3 in a clip, you cant make them fly longer, they self explode after 5 seconds, but if you land them close to the enemies they will auto explode. it will be great attack sticky launcher.

+8 max stickys out at once
+Mini Crits vs Burning foes
-50% less damage
-No Random Crits
-Cannot detonate stickys in Mid Air
-Airblasts defuse the bombs, rendering them useless.

+When pyro set the bomb on fire +150% damage
-When no fire -50% damage
-Airblast and liquid extinguish the bomb
