The design looks like more like a level action rifle, yes, but reminds people more of the Scatterguns. Maybe consider making the Lever a Loop Lever? Maybe shorten the stock a bit? Or just check Mare's Leg in the search engine of your choice, and see what makes the design of the Mare's Leg recognizable and distinct, and use that in Massachusetts Mare's Leg v.2.

This is just a suggestion, not a "do it immediately" request. Do it when you are able. That said, I kind of like the Wild West themed weapons that you and others made. Whats next? Victorian Era?
