Possible playable races in Warhammer Total War 3 as part of the OVN mod?
Hello everyone!) I really adore the Warhammer Universes!) Only in the world of Warhammer FB there are a lot of races, factions, which I think are unlikely to implement milestones. For example, there is Arabia. Arabia is a collective image of the Arab Caliphate during the Crusades, the Ottoman Empire with its Janissaries, the Emirate of Cordoba, the Songhai state in North Africa and the Bedouin and Tuareg tribes, and to the south of Nekhekara there are peoples who are similar in their culture to the Nubians, Ethiopians, Sudanese. The jungles of the Southlands are inhabited by wild tribes of black people (who paint their bodies with white paint and look intimidating) as well as pygmies. There is Albion, the tribes that live there are very reminiscent of the Celts of Ireland and Scotland. There are living pirates of Sartosa, Amazon, Fimiry, Trolls, Half-Orcs. And in the Eastern Barrens live Hobgoblins, Kurgans, Hungs and Ungols (who do not worship Chaos). In the Far East, in addition to the Great Cathay, there are Nippon, Ind and Khuresh (tracing paper on the peoples and states of Southeast Asia). There are fishmen who live in the depths of the ocean. There is the Monkey King, and the monkey people who live in the jungles of the Southlands, the Ind Kingdom, Cathay and Kuresh. The Monkeymen are a reference to the ape people from the Planet of the Monkey movie (2001 year). There are also in the world FB Lumbria (local Australia), Lemuria (local New Zealand) and Oceania. In the early Lore, the New World was inhabited by tribes of people (tracing paper on the Indians of North and South America). In the north of Naggaroth lived tribes of people that are so much like the Eskimos and the Aleuts. Also in the old LORE there were Sea Elves (first edition armibook), but then they became "normal high elves". Sea Elf concept will move to AoS (Idoneth) in the future. Lokhir Fellheart visited the sunken city of Chupayotl on one of his expeditions. There he saw sea lizards (Sea Nagas?) Also in Old Lore (1st, 2nd, 3rd editions) Kislev was mentioned, and the mountain peoples of people inhabiting the World's Edge Mountains (reference to the Caucasus and the peoples of the Caucasus?). The southern part of Border Princes is very similar to Greece. Names of cities such as Myrmidens, Argalis, Aheias, Lakoras, Cyprus. And the city of Remas is a tracing paper for the times of the Roman Empire, the times of Caesar and the legionnaires. The northern part of the Border Princes is a copy of the peoples, states and tribes of the Balkans (Thrace, Dacia, Bulgaria, Vlachia). Also in the first edition there were mentions of a race of intelligentinsectoids humanoids. In the future, these concepts were realized in Warhammer 40,000 in the form of Vespeds and Kroots (tracing paper on the Indians of North America). Of the sea races, you can safely embody in the future fish-men, sea nagas, sea elves and crabs-clams, which are distant relatives of the Vespeds (which were in the 1st edition, but were called Insectoids). Also before the Lizardmen (they appeared in the 4th edition) there was the Slann Empire. They were intelligent humanoid amphibians (frogs and toads). Also there used to be Gnomes in Old Lore. Before the arrival of the Wood Elves in Athel Loren, the Forest Spirits lived there in harmony with the animals. Great among them were Adanhu, Durthu, and Coeddil, and Drycha also lived there. Later we will see the concept of forest spirits in AoS - Sylvaneth (there are no forest elves, only forest spirits and animals). There are two small human states next to Great Cathay - this is the realm of Chao-Hsien (tracing paper for Feudal Korea of Kougryo times), and next to the Ogre kingdom in the mountains there is the kingdom of Kitserava (tracing paper for Tibet). About Chaos. Besides Warriors of Chaos (Norsca tribes, Kurgan tribes, Hung tribes), Chaos Daemons, Beasmens, there are also Chaos Cults. But for some reason, CA united Warriors of Chaos and Chaos Daemons. Chaos cults appear in Mordheim. Also, the Cults of Chaos have their own unique line of units. We must understand that the Chaos Cults are a hidden threat within human states, while the Chaos Warriors are an external threat.

Southerners

The inhabitants of the city of Ka-Sabar are described as black-skinned ferocious warriors who are akin to the nomadic tribes of Ebonia, the settled Athiopos, and the mighty hunters called the Toothfish. Black tribes and peoples control the lands south of the Nehekhara Realm, and north of the jungle lands of the Southlands. In fact, the Nubians of Ka-Sabar, the nomads of Ebony, the fearless warriors of Athiopos, and the mighty hunters of the Fangs are one people. Once upon a time, they were allies of the Great King of Nehekara, Alcadizar the Conqueror, who challenged the undead. Bold, courageous, and fearless warriors of the south fought on the side of the Great King of Humans!

Southerners, as they are commonly called, consist of many tribes. Some of them are nomads, and some govern the state. For example, Ebony are not only magnificent nomads, with whom only the famous Tuareg or Turjuks can compete, but at the same time, they are unsurpassed ax throwers. It is said that the eye of Ebony is so trained that throwing a spear, or an ax, it will hit the target directly with its eyes closed! If the Ebonies are unsurpassed horsemen and ax throwers, then the best hunters in all of Arabia, and perhaps even the entire continent, are the Fangs. Numerous people, consisting of numerous tribes that are adjacent to the port city of Sudenburg.

Fangs are named for a reason, but in honor of the fact that they love and adore collecting trophies of defeated enemies by taking their teeth. A member of the Fang tribe wears a necklace of teeth. Teeth necklace - their story. Who did he catch, who did he defeat, and who did he kill. Fangs are huge, muscular, black-skinned warriors who paint their bodies with white paint. The toothfish are the only people who supply war elephants to Arabia and the rest of the southerners. These are the most courageous and fearless warriors! If you want to get a lion, an elephant, a giant desert scorpion, a dragon, a giant, or even an apeman, look to the toothfish!

The Athiopos and the Nubians of Ka-Sabar are considered the most civilized of all the peoples of the South.

The culture of the southerners is at the same time similar to the culture of ancient Nehekhara and the Arabians, but at the same time, they have their own unique culture. Some southerners worship Arabian gods, while others worship nature spirits.

The most terrible thing for the enemies of the southerners is to see and hear the march of the southerners! This is always accompanied by a huge spectacle! Southerners, consisting of different tribes, going to war, is both a terrible and beautiful sight! Enormous muscular warriors, in fearsome war paints with skull masks, go to war to the sound of drums. Rows of half-naked girls are dancing, behind, to the rhythms of war drums, war elephants are marching! Always in the army of southerners there are fangs dressed in the skins of dead lions, crocodiles, and they are accompanied by tame lions! Ebony's cavalry and Ebony's ax throwers on foot ride leisurely on the sides. Often in the armies of the southerners there are several mercenary units of ogres. Ethiopians spearmen, and archers go shouting war cries. Spearmen Ghutani incite the army of southerners. Some of the southerners go into battle covered in feathers, others wearing the skulls of slain animals. The battle march of the southerners is a frightening sight, for the inhabitants of the Old World ...

Tribes and peoples of the southerners:

Nubians of Ka-Sabar
Athiopos
Ebonian
Fangs
Tayif
Zamesi
Ghutani

Hello dear modders! I love your mod! However, I would like to write my thoughts, I hope you will consider.

Arabia

Arabia. Personally, I think that Arabia should have 5 sub-fractions. 1. Fraction Sultan Jaffar, and just the same skins can be taken from Scythans. Moreover, the Jaffar faction should start in the city of Wizard Caliph's Palace. 2. "Gusman Empire". This faction should be led by Mehmed-bey. This faction should have the visual appearance of the Ottoman Empire with a couple of Janissary units. This faction should start in the city of Al-Haikk. 5. "Liberators of Arabia" (I don't know, think up yourself). It should be headed by the famous Mullah Aklan'd. Moreover, Mullah Aklan'd and Sultan Jaffar must be at war with each other. Sultan Jaffar is an evil wizard who wants power, and Mullah Aklan'd is a unifier and the first ruler of Arabia, who wants the prosperity of his people. Must start in El-Khabbath city. 4. Bedouins. This faction should start in the Great Arabian Desert. It should be headed by Fatandira. This faction should not have Arabian knights, elephants, and rely on desert infantry, archers and spearmen. 5 Flaming Scimitar. Most of all, their gameplay should resemble the Arabian pirates. Should not have cavalry, elephants, but rely on corsairs (polearms, pistols and sabers, hand cannons, bombers), but Prometheans Gunnery Mob instead of cavalry. Moreover, I see no reason to single out the Scythans tribe as a separate faction. In my opinion, it is better to make the Numas faction playable, and just give this faction a few Scythans units.

Southerners.

Southerners. In LORE Warhammer FB there are southern states, which were briefly called TEB, but there are real southerners. They are present in the world of Warhammer FB. These are black peoples, tribes that are located south of the lands of the Kings of the Tomb and north of the southlands. The southerners are tracing paper on the Nubians, Ethiopians, Sudanese. On the territory of the southerners live such peoples and tribes as "Fangs", Athiopos, Zamesi, Ebonian, Ghutani, Tayif. Also, the city of Ka-Sabar is inhabited by the black population. I would really like you to make a playable race in the future - Southerners. And they gave her 4-5 fractions. In the 2nd part on the lands of the southerners there are 4 cities: Ka-Sabar, Antokh, Bhagar and the Plain of Fangs. These 4 cities can be given to the 4th faction of the playable Southerners race. Visually, they can be made Nubians (Rome 2 TV), Ethiopians from Aksum, bushmens. You already have a unit - southerners. Please make Southerners a playable race with 4-5 factions.

A little about other little-known races that once flickered in the world of Warhammer

1. In the jungles of the Southlands, Kingdoms of Ind, Cathay and Khuresh lives a mysterious race of Monkeymens. No one knows if they are beastmen or sentient beings. Can you make a playable race of Monkeymen with your own unique line? Visually, they can be given the style of the Planet of the Apes (2001) movie.

2. Half-orcs. This faction was present in the armibook from the 1st to the 3rd edition. Half-orcs are a mixture of orcs, goblins and humans. very interesting playable race. Very similar to ogres, in the sense that they also wandered, lived the life of mercenaries, and were hired by both people and orcs and goblins. There was a line of units in the 3rd edition. I would really like to see half-orcs with their sub-fractions.

3 Menfish. Menfish appeared in 1st edition. They even had their own figurines. They weren't talked about after. However, there were Easter eggs. For example Marius Leitdorf claimed to have seen Menfish. This would be an interesting playable race with several factions scattered along the coast. The feature of this faction would be the presence of a short presence on land. A long stay on earth away from the seas and oceans would devastate stacks of Menfish.

4. Sea lizards ("sea nagas"). In the stories of Lokhir Fellheart, he tells of his adventures in the sunken city of Chupayotl. There he saw sea intelligent creatures and monsters. Starting from giant krakens, ending with creatures similar to fish-men and sea lizards with fins and membranes. I would really like to see sea lizardmen.

5. Intelligent Insectoids. Once they were in the 1st edition. They had their figurines. they looked like intelligent ants. In the future, GW will transfer them to 40k and call them Vespeds. FB world needs an insectoid race. With wasps, bees, ants, caterpillars, spiders, giant beetles, centipedes, dragonflies. I think it would be an interesting and creepy playable race.

6. The ocean is very huge. And in theory, there is something that just cannot be. If you make a reasonable playable race of creepy insectoids with queen queens at the head. Then in the ocean, in addition to nagas and fish-men, their terrible "cousins" should live. Crab-clams. Creepy, intelligent creatures. And all this mass of claws, mucus, tentacles, looks at the inhabitants of the continents with greed to plunge them into the abyss of the oceans. By the way, here you can dream up, and add a little Lovecraft.

7. Kurgans and Hungs. I'm sure that with the release of Chaos Dwarfs there will be a mod for the Hobgoblin Khanate. But I would really like to see independent playable races like Kurgans and Hungs as well. Kurgans are more like Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans, Goths, Hungarians, while Khungs are typical Xiong.

8. In principle, Naggaroth is not particularly developed, except for the Dark Elves, no one lives there. However, you can place an interesting playable race on its territory. Kroots. An interesting playable race, bird people who would be similar in culture to the North American Indians.

9. In the early editions of Kislev's lore, there were mentions of human tribes that live in the mountains bordering Kislev. Perhaps at that time it was a reference to the peoples and states of the Caucasus. it was nice to see the states of the fantasy Caucasus. If we are talking about the full world of Warhammer. You can, for example, use the visual appearance of the 18-19 century warriors of Armenia, Georgia, Circassians, Adygs, Lezgins, and other peoples of the Caucasus and Transcaucasia with fantasy elements.

10. Forest Spirits. Treemans, Dryads, Tree Kins, as well as forest animals could make up this playable race that would do without the Wood Elves.

11. Cults of Chaos. Chaos Cults are another playable race that could be implemented into 5 factions with their own marxes. Moreover, their gameplay would be similar to the Skaven (ruins, disguise)

12. Northerners. Tribes such as Aghol and Mung can be turned into the likeness of the Aleuts and Eskimos, with monstrous walrus people, and spirit worship.

13. Gnomes. In the FB world, there are dwarves and there are gnomes.

14. Sea Elves. I would like to see the sea elves as a marine species, and not the colonies of the High Elves. And once the sea elves were conceived precisely as creatures living in the seas and oceans in the first edition, but this idea was deleted. And sea elves appeared already in AoS.

15. Tigermens, monkeymens, nagas of Ind, elephantmens, I'm sure that they will appear with the release of the DLC of the "Kingdoms of Ind" race.

If all the same, appear in the future in the east, beyond the Nippon Islands, and the islands of Elitnis - Lumbria (local Australia), Lemuria (local New Zealand) and Oceania. Then I will be very happy. It is possible to "plant" the old race in Lambria and Lemuria - the Slann Empire. I really liked this playable race. She looks a bit like lizardmen, however, instead of the biorobots of saurs, skinks and kroxigors, she had sentient ambiances (frogs and toads). Also human slaves. Also in the armies of the Slann Empire were lizardmen (not to be confused with saurs, skinks and croxigors) and troglodytes. For them, just the same, Lambria and Lemuria would be a good place. Oceania would be a good place to live for tribes that copied the culture of the peoples of Oceania, in particular the Maori people. Today half-orcs, the Slann Empire and insectoids are officially deleted from the FB world. However, they can be revived with mods. All hope is that CA will expand in the future the lands of the Immortal Empires and include not only the islands of Nippon and Elitnis, but also Lumbria, Lemuria and Oceania.

A little about the human playable races. The FB world was conceived at the dawn as a tracing paper on the history of the peoples of our planet. However, this idea was not fully carried out. As I wrote earlier, the southern part of Border Princes was a tracing-paper on elenistic Greece and at the same time Byzantium. The world has Estalia, Tilia, Border Princes but no Greece. Moreover, there is even Remas, which is a copy of the Roman Empire during the time of the Caesars. I really want to see Elenistic Greece with hoplites, a phalanx of pikemen, peltasts, Greek cataphracts and everything seasoned with Greek mythology (Pegases, centaurs, cyclops, harpies, minotaurs, hydras, gigantoheers).

There is no Persia in the world. Yes, there are chaos dwarves. But it is still closer to Assyria, and Bronze Age Babylon. But unfortunately there is no "classical" Persia from the time of the Greco-Persian wars. There are no Persian takabars, tanvabars, asabaras, chariots, immortals, war elephants. Persia in the FB world could be located in the southern part of the Dark Lands and have 3-4 factions that would visually (and also in the line of units) copy the style of Achaemenid Persia, the Parthian Empire, and the Sassanid Empire. There is a TEB mod. And Tillia is a tracing-paper on medieval Italy. However, I hope in the future you will implement Remas as a separate faction within the TEB with its legionnaires, proterians, auxiliary troops. And where was Rome, was his "sworn enemy" - Carthage. Carthage (Karat Hadasht, could have a name, and be culturally also related to TEB) could be located on the Arabian coast, and have only one city at the start, and be initially at war with Remas.

Tomb Kings has 4 factions today. But they can be given 2 more playable factions: Numas, led by Prince Tutankhanut (he would have Scythans units in his army) and "Defenders of Nehekhara" led by Alcadizar the Conqueror. This faction would consist entirely of living nehekarians (with the exception of statues and constructs).

And I would like 4 human playable races (with their own factions). Eskimos and Aleutsin the north of Nagoroth, tribes of Nagorot Indians that copy North American Indians, South American Indians, who are vassals of the lizardmen (by the way, this idea was in the first three editions, where the human tribes of Lustria were vassals of the Slann Empire), and the black tribes of the Southlands (not to be confused with civilized southerners). As I said, if the CA still add Lambria, Lemuria and Oceania, add 2 more human cultures - the natives of Lambria and the tribes of Oceania (Maori). Not to mention the local "Caucasus", Southerners, Southern Realms (including Remas, "Greece", "Carthage"), Kingdoms of Ind, Nippon, Khuresh, Kurgans, Hungs Ungols, Persia, Chao-Hsien, Kitserava, Cults of Chaos and fantasy races: Hobgoblins Khanate, Half-orcs, Menfish, Monkeymens, Sea lizards, Sea Elves, Forest Spirits, Kroots, Insectoids, Crab-clams, Gnomes, Slann Empire.

Well, lastly. These are most likely my wet fantasies, but I hope you read my thoughts, dear modders, and perhaps at least a small part of them will be embodied in your wonderful fashion...

If there is room by nakai ya'll could try and do nippon. I know a bunch of people want nippon. What ever you do add I'm sure it will be good.
Wandering 3 Jul, 2022 @ 4:15am
Hi MarineCARMINE!!! :steamhappy:Oh yes, that would be nice... Do you have any material that you would build off of and make a line of Nippon units? Nippon has little official lore. You can refer to fan armibooks. It can be said for certain that the Nippon Army uses gunpowder in their armies and also uses firearms, however the Samurai do not use firearms, believing them to be weapons of "cowards". The main infantry at Nippon should be Asshigaru regiments, there are samurai, as well as ninja, and dishonored samurai - ronin. You can also add Oni (a separate type of ogre) to Nippon's army. Also, Nippon has stone statues in the form of lions, and Nippon's religion is the belief in Orange Simka. Nippon is a feudal state where the power of the Emperor is only nominal. In fact, in Nippon, the power belongs to the Shoguns. There are Samurai in Nippon who believe in Orange Simka, and there are evil Sorcerer Shoguns who can call on the Dark Gods of Chaos. Also in Nippon there are undead - vampires that once upon a time came to these islands from the time of the Lahmian Fall.

I think Nippon will eventually get added. At the end of the day, they had about the same amount to work with as Cathay, so I think they will come with, or after Ind.
