Scoring Questions
Part of the scoring is to gain points for the different colors in your PC. But what about the pokemon in your team? I know their AtkPwr got counted earlier, but this means the pokemon they evolved from arent getting any credit? If you have a full team of evolved you could be losing out of a decent amount of points.

Is there a reason PP isnt taken into consideration as Victory Points?

You get 2 points per evolution on a fully evolved team (tho with my group we decided you don't need to have a full line), so if you have a caterpie-metapod-butterfree and butterfree has +5, his attack power would be 11 and you add 4 victory points, 2 for each evolution.
It's also true if your evolved line is in the PC

OmerMe is correct.
Your team's Pokémon colours don't count for extra points, but their evolutions count for 2 points each. This means that they are going to be worth the same, or 1 point more than if they were just counted for colours.
Hope that clears things up for you!

I think that last sentence from OmerMe is what gets me. Both in team & PC evolutions get counted. But only PC pokemon earn points. So would that mean I'd get more points by putting my pre-evolves from my team into the box since they would get counted anyways?

@Mendo
You can't do that because evolved Pokémon can't be separated. They're treated as a single Pokémon for things that refer to "your team". You can put them all in the box if you'd like, but you'd probably score a lot more points for the higher evolution's AtkPwr.
Does that help?

It can be something to think about, since if for instance you have a fully evolved but level 0 Beedrill, that's 6atk+4 for evolutions, and you have an Onix in your PC, in the PC it's worth 1, if you switch them around you will still get 10 for the Beedrill, but the Onix will become 6 points based on attack rather than color.
I think it can be changed so that everyone could still count pre-evolutions in your party based on colors, so that Beedrill will now be 6+4+1+2, would still be better to take the Onix tho since you'll still get 2 more points, unless you level the Beedrill.

Yeah I think getting points for color in team & PC would make more sense. But that's just me.
