It's also true if your evolved line is in the PC
Your team's Pokémon colours don't count for extra points, but their evolutions count for 2 points each. This means that they are going to be worth the same, or 1 point more than if they were just counted for colours.
Hope that clears things up for you!
You can't do that because evolved Pokémon can't be separated. They're treated as a single Pokémon for things that refer to "your team". You can put them all in the box if you'd like, but you'd probably score a lot more points for the higher evolution's AtkPwr.

I think it can be changed so that everyone could still count pre-evolutions in your party based on colors, so that Beedrill will now be 6+4+1+2, would still be better to take the Onix tho since you'll still get 2 more points, unless you level the Beedrill.
