Maybe something to tie it in with it's Inglorious Bastards reference point.
-20% reload speed
-Mini-Crits per pellet that Headshots (Scalping)
-Scalping Kills gives you +30% faster reloading for 4 seconds
-Some + or - spread modifier?
Force soldiers to aim differently to gain a slight advantage.

+2 Shells in clip (8 shots in all)
+10% Weapon switch (ONLY APPLIES FOR THE SHOTGUN ITSELF)
-20% Damage bonus
+10% Damage taken from fire

Disscussion time!
First off, I want everyone to know that I am a huge shotgun user. I use it for Pyro, Soldier, and sometimes even Heavy, so I've been waiting for a while for a weapon like this. I only use the shotgun to finish people off, or deal damage when my primary is out of clip, so I would love it if there was a quick way to use it. I think this lovely weapon design would fit perfectly for this.
If you have an idea on this, I would love to hear your reply. Thanks!

Perhaps:
150% clip size. (9 rounds!)
1.6 seconds extra reload time. (The default shotgun takes 3.5 seconds to load in every round, 3 extra rounds would mean a shotgun would take 5 seconds. So 5+1.6=6.6 seconds to reload every round at the same time.)
20% extra accuracy.
You lose all rounds in the current drum when reloading. No tactical reloads, son!
20% extra ammunition. LOLZ.
May seem overpowered, but it's more of an "aim properly with those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 9 shots or you have to reload and then you sit through 6.6 seconds of dieing" weapon. Seems good for those who can make good shots, but the reload speed would be crippling. And the accuracy would be good for making those shots, any boost would help in a shotgun.
Yey I made a post. Now people, please don't berate me and start whacking me in the head with a shotgun. Those things hurt.
I reckon let it function similarly to the scout's shortstop
(i) Reloads by full clip replacement (not 1 by 1 like shotgun or scattergun)
+50% fire rate
+20% damage per successful hit
+25% increased accuracy (bulletspread similar to shortstop)
-40% less damage
- Damage bonus resets after miss
Basically the purpose of this is that...
It functions similary to the shorstop but does overall less damage but gains a damage bonus on each succssful hit. If you get 3 shots you gain +60% damage. If you hit 6 of your shots you gain +120% damage. Do mind that it starts off with 40% less damage. So in the end you would gain +80% damage if you hit all your shots. Would be hard to hit enemies due to the more concise bullet spread which would make it easier for mid range shots. The way to beat a shotgun with these stats would be to stay away from him and jump alot cause if you get close and allow him to get some shots on him with this, ouch thats gonna hurt.
ORR
Let it function like the Engineer's Widowmaker. Though what would he have to sacrifice when using this gun then? HP!
+Does not need to reload to fire
+Gain 60% of damage done as HP
-Lose 30HP per shot
-25% slower heal rate when active
-25% slower overheal rate when active
Basically is the widowmaker for Soldier. If you deal a nice meatshot around 90 dmg, you'd get 50HP back. Slower heal and overheal rate is a negative as if it wasn't added then it wouldn't be a risk at all if you were being pocketed.
"Pain is weakness, leaving the body" - Soldier
I MADE THESE STATS FOR FUN, I KNOW VALVE DOES THE STATS BUT IT'S STILL FUN!
Could'nt have said it better myself.
I just always wanted a shotgun with more rounds, since i'm not the best aim.
I would'nt have said it would have lower damage, but something will be done with accuracy.
I just like a shotgun that I could use as a weapon that I could use alot, instead of just when your primary runs out.
*ahem*
Larger clip. Just like the family buisness but for soldier and pyro...
+10% or 15% ammo
10 bullets in clip
+10% acceracy and range
+5% ammo from crates
+7 or 8 sec reload time
cannot reload mid clip
looses 5% durability out
of 1000 per shot lowering the
damage 1% per 5 durability
(bar on bottom right showing durability of the weapon)
can replenish 5% from picking up shotgun weapon from fallen enemys.
The durability idea comes from fallout which has a shotgun very similar to this design.
It would challenge u to be as precise as possible to keep an edge.
