Endlessly charming Halloween fun. 4/5 stars.

Haunted Forest is not the best campaign of all time, but it is my favorite of all time. It's what inspired me to start making my own maps, and I highly recommend you play it in October.

This campaign is camp horror perfection — a mash-up of various horror tropes and cliches that somehow manages to be laugh-out-loud funny and genuinely creepy at the same time. From the moon with a menacing grin, to the eerie atmosphere of the titular forest, to the stand-out chapter in a haunted mansion, there's a memorable moment around every corner. The level design is also balanced and well paced, with a good mix of indoor and outdoor sections.

My only complaint is that the gauntlet finale feels awkward and unpolished. It used to be nonfunctional, so I'm glad it's finally fixed, but the campaign's persistent problem with jank becomes hard to ignore in Map 4. Still, I can look past this because the spooky Halloween vibe of Haunted Forest has never been topped.
