How To: Enable/Disable Chapters
What You WIll Need:
Notepad (or any other text editor, whichever you prefer)

That's all, really.

First, navigate to ...Steam\steamapps\common\Cortex Command\W40K.rte. Now pop open Factions.ini with your text editor of choice.

To enable or disable a chapter (or the Imperial Guard), just add or remove the double-slash lines as desired. For example, if I want to disable the Imperial Guard and Ultramarines, and enable the Black Templars, then I add the slash lines (//) to the start of line 8 and line 26, and remove them from the start of line 14.

I recommend having only one Marine chapter loaded/enabled at once, for the sake of your shoplist and sanity.

The Loadout files are used for the core metagame/campaign - by default, they're all disabled. NEVER enable more than one of these at once, or things will get really weird when bases are built.

Nice, after I found this I decided to completely insane, load all these up alongside my other mods, and play a Void Wanderers game with all six (5 chapters + Imperial Guard)

ok, so remove double lines to disable and add them to enable? is that correct?
cos I am not understanding how to fiddle with this man. I don't see any more than three lines in every factions .ini

Because you're overthinking it a bit. You want the Factions.ini within the main .rte itself, not the faction-named .ini files within the /Factions/ folder.

Hey, i have a problem.

I double click a faction, and the notepad comes up. I add the // for "IncludeFile = W40K.rte/Actors/Guardsmen/Imperial Guard.ini"

And I click save, and it says i neeed to select a file. I think "oh, no worries, i'll just put it back in the W40k file" and, I get to Cortex Command and search w40k.rte. and i cant find it. Then i did the same for Save-As. Why wont it save?

Workshop version probably saves it somewhere weird maybe. I've always used the non-steam version of CC. :conwayshrug:

It turns out it was already active XD

It was good luck apparently, because IG and Ultra-Smurfs were both already on.
