Not sure the full scope of this issue, but in my case with a wrench and screwdriver both in item slots on the tier 3 Alice pack, choosing to remove the gas tank from a pickup truck's mechanics window led to the character equipping the screwdriver, but failing to equip the wrench although the mechanics window says something like "must equip wrench" near the upper right.

This results in certain locked inputs/actions (can't interact, can't toggle flashlight, can't equip weapons, etc) until the Esc key is pressed.

Minor issue that I was able to work around, but thought it might be something fixable like both items trying to equip simultaneously, or something. Haven't looked at the code.
