Team Fortress 2

Hadrian's Handbow
Won't work, please realise this.
The import tool is not built to support importing weapons. Its only for cosmetics.
Using the import tool to upload weapons drastically decreases the chances of it getting accepted. You sacrifice so many triangles to get under the 1400 tri limit, which you can see showing in the photos. Its blocky, and ugly.
And the fact that you made a weapon paintable is just pointless.

Wouldn't be the first paintable weapon to ever exist. The Cow Mangler was paintable, even if for a short window.

Aren't they still working on getting the import tool to work with weapons?

It has been certified compatible by valve, you can even see! I see no reason how it can't be transmitted into game
Genie 14 Mar, 2014 @ 10:30pm
you mean by valve and by the steam workshop

They had other weapons from the community added, it's just hard if it is a paintable weapon.

I know they had other community weapons, but the guy used the import tool which currently only supports cosmetics.

This is one of the most long and useless explanations I've ever seen. Trying to explain sonething to someone who most likely already knows.
Also, if you don't like the weapon, grow up and don't write a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ discussion with you saying you don't. Idiot.

I'm trying to give the guy advice, not hate on him. No need to be hostile.

Hey guys, InfectedPotato is right, if weapons could be certified compatible, there would have been news and announcements by Valve/TF2blog/Workshop, but there isn't, heck it still even says you can only import cosmetics on the workshop information pages. It's incredibly obvious that the author is trying to cheat past the whole "cosmetics only" rule by lowering the quality of the weapon models. (The weapons are incredibly blocky and have barely any triangles).
