Frequently Asked Questions
Hey all. I realise that many people often leave questions in the comments and, since I don't really play CK3 or check my mods all that often, I thought I'd throw together this little FAQ so you don't have to wait on my delayed replies for an answer. Hope this helps!

Does this work with other music mods?
Yes. The only potential for conflict I can think of is if they alter the same track (i.e. the main menu music) and/or use the same name for a song in the mod files. Worst case scenario, in both instances, is that one will override the other. I.e. the music from this mod will play for the main menu instead of the one used in the other mod. It shouldn't cause any major stability issues.

Does this work with overhaul mods?
Yes, but actually no. It probably won't work perfectly but it should work reasonably well and it won't cause any stability issues, just some minor annoyances. Let's take the Game of Thrones mod as an example. All the base game CK2 tracks will play as normal but, since the mod uses entirely custom cultures and regions, the vanilla music triggers won't work and thus you probably won't hear any of the DLC tracks.

Can I still earn achievements with this mod enabled?
Yes. This mod doesn't alter the checksum so it won't disable achievements.

Is it savegame compatible?
Yes. It is safe to enable/disable this mod in the middle of a playthrough without any issues or risk of save corruption.

The 'Sons & Sister-Wives' DLC has just dropped, does this mod need to be updated?
No. Unless Paradox messes with the music triggers again like they did with Royal Court, this mod should never need updating. Even so, rest assured that any future updates that do 'break' this mod will only lead to problems mentioned in the overhaul mods question above.

Will this mod cause crashes if it's not working properly?
No. Functionally speaking, this mod merely alters a single text file that tells the game what mood tracks to play. It does not alter any important files that are necessary for the game to function correctly. If you're experiencing crashes, I am 99.7% sure that this mod isn't the cause.

Can I use this mod as a base for my own music mod?
Yes. If you're looking to make your own music mod for CK3 and want to use this as a foundation then consider this an official stamp of approval. Just be sure to credit me if you upload it to the workshop :)
