Mist updates
Update 8/7/2014
- updated clips for fences at Sniper's Nest in sniper tower
- enabled collision for extended corners on buildings
- removed badly placed pipe in Connector
- updated skill jump with (a more forgiving) trim
- fixed bad clip brush at Catwalk
- removed possibility to hide on surface bellow Catwalk (CT side)
- removed possibility to peek under generators at B-site
- deleted a tree near Catwalk (should increase silhouette visibility of player on Catwalk)
- updated draw distance on various models

Update 7/29/2014
Bug fixes:
-improved clipping, removed possibility to boost at various locations (where it was not intended)
-added clip in windows
-deleted bad DM-spawn (in Underpass)
-players should now properly die when jumping from the Sniper tower

Layout/Gameplay updates:
-reverted back to "old" version of Mist (sniper tower is back etc! yaaay :))
-increased the width of B-site door coming from ShortStairs
-made skill-jump at Catwalk easier (still hard)
-removed pipes sticking up at Side (looked like a player head from a far)
-added possibility to jump from blue container at Stairs (avoid peaking CT from Outside when rushing Underpass)
-removed strong light at Stairs to make peaking to Outside less dangerous
-changed red-navigation decals to orange (easier to see)
-raised generator at CT-side Catwalk to allow easier movement when jumping down from middle
-removed railing/yellow poles at Front (allowing easier movement for T at the start of each round)

Various changes:
-slight optimization of items in the skybox
-updated hints around T-spawn/Front
-very carefully removal of items in the player area
-removed unusable doors (that was placed around the level)
-removed barrel under Backway stairs (there is no way anyone could have placed it there)
-updated text on the Restricted sign (German and Finnish - Finnish soldiers are now greeted welcome)
-removed col from fence at Sniper tower
-lower the sound intensity for rumbling rain at B-site


Update 7/28/2014
-added railing to new b-ladder route
-re-added window upper A hut
-the rain has once again started at R-136 Falken (it now rains again)
-various small clip fixes, near surf and around displacement
-added trigger_bomb_reset to small door awning
-re-added spool cover to A-site
-fixed issue with a window not beeing breakable
-added angle to wall in underpass (to make it more grenade walling friendly)
-removed walkable brushes outside railing near B-ladder
-added collision to generator above new outside path (good for walling)

Update 7/27/2014
Layout/gameplay changes:
-removed mid level (control room)
-updated b-stairs, added double doors (shaved of ~1 sec for T to get to B)
-added new path outside b-stairs to middle/underpass (where the big-surf was)
-removed locker room (replaced by the new middle)
-made middle more open (shaved of ~1 sec for CT to get to B)
-removed possibility to snipe in the snipertower (this now only serves as a landmark for A-site)
-removed underpath connection to garage (garage now only connects to the catwalk)
-added a wall to middle-catwalk area (to prevent garage rush)
-overall, made catwalk more accessible for T
-added a wall to b-stairs (prevent window peak)
-updated "bomb"-decals and arrow placement

Optimization:
-removed the rain
-removed helicopter
-removed unnecessary clutter/decals
-rebuild hints

Misc:
-updated spelling on signs
-updated collision for unwanted boosts/exploits
-tweaked skill-jump at catwalk

I can't say much about my mm fps since I can't 5v5 on this map, but with 5v5 on bots:
old: 90 - 100 fps with common frame drops to 60 and below
new: 110 - 120 fps with little frame drops

also the layout changes, can't wait to try them out in a real match.


the trickjumps on cat are useless imo, you have a risk of death for a jump that rewards nearly nothing

you should add a surf or bhop that allows you to cross this area: http://i.imgur.com/LmXnH35.jpg

it's probably too significant for the layout, but that's an example of a good jump.

hmmm a skilljump is that area might be good, the new outside area (by B-stairs) to underpass is way harder for T to reach without beeing noticed than before (when T could go safley through the garage) so it might be nice to have the skill jump at your screenshot as a "reward" for skilled players to chose from, as a one way path to get to elevator

...the current skilljump at catwalk might still be a little to hard, but its very powerful when you can use it, however it might not be powerful enough to risk death - hence might be tweaked a little easier

Why did the layout get reverted!!! It was so much cleaner and simpler and was excited to 10 man it with some friends soon! So confused
