This happens to the Argentine giant eagle, the great ape does not have this problem.
But great apes sometimes do not inherit the best attributes, which puzzles me.

I don't know if anything can be done about that, but it doesn't happen every time (maybe 33 or 50 percent) so it isn't that big of a deal to breed another.
I breeded up a sabertooth to level 814 with 100,000 health, 6,000 stamina, 2,000 weight, 35,000% melee, 300% movement speed. Obviously OP.
However, I logged in today and checked up on the sabertooth and all the stats are all under 1,000 but it says the saber is level 814.
I did cryopod 2 of the same sabertooth before and they still had the OP stats. So I threw the cryopod and my game crashed. I tried this a few times and it always crashed.
Dunno if this is a bug or if its just the game saying that I should stop :D
Edit: So, I did some more testing with my level 250 sabertooths. I bred them and waited for the babies to mature and gain a few levels (they had around 10k health) and I quit to main menu and loaded the game again. Upon starting up, the new sabertooth's stats also dropped down to around 1,000 each just like when I loaded the game with the level 814 sabers. Now I'm wondering if the mod is no longer saving the leveled stats for newly bred babies. Otherwise, my level 404 saber from some days ago still has his OP stats.
Edit2: I kinda found a solution. If you level up the new dino and ride around on it and use the saveworld command, then the leveled stats are saved when you load into your game again.
I've not tested with vanilla cryopods.
Yep, I've been having the same thing. Parents need to be present in the world when breeding babies, otherwise the baby won't have the stats.
