Dino stats squishing if too high
Relog, reload an area, or cryo/ball a dino with a higher level than 1500. The dino's stats squish down. For example. I level up my Spino to lvl 1685(maxed level). If I do any of the actions previously stated, the dino's level goes down to 1583 and their stats reduce tremendously. Also says my dino is max leveled.

I have stopped a dino's level at 1499 to test the capped level theory to see if that dino's stats would change and it didnt. So passing level 1500 causes the issue.

Also the lvl's 1685/1583 are not the issue, I have had this issue with numerous other levels above 1500.

UPDATE

Upon further testing my hypothesis of the level 1500 cap if false. It is in fact having more than 255 points into one stat that starts messing things up. I have a lvl1570 that has 255 points into one stat. One more point and you can see instantly the points allocated drop to 0. And doing any of the relogging, reloading, or cryo balling resets the stat number to the default tamed stat number.

Hi. Totally agree with you. The problem comes from the 255 hard cap that does not let the dino´s stats to progress further even if you continue to level up them. I hope the dev´s mod will be able to idetify and surpass this. Chrs.

Though I'm not certain this is the case but it may be a game limitation. In programming 255 is a significant value as a byte stores a value of 0-255. It may be that the game stores each stats in a byte and that exceeding 255 causes an overflow that either resets to 0 or effectively subtracts 255 from the result. Not sure if what I'm saying make sense, but either way it is all speculation.

I just posted about this in the main thread. You are right. its the 255 cap. you can level beyond it, but on server restart, you get the nerf factory hitting you.

This will never be fixed by the devs. it would be significant re-coding and redoing the base game. Its a limitation of the game engine. Devs have talked about it before. its one of the reasons that default rules dont allow for such ludicrous stats in the first place.
modders and power gamers break this, but thats on us... not the dev.

So, if i breed a 250 health and 250 melee, and use the new lvl 1 dino but never level up any of those 2 stats, would i be okey? I play sp only so leveling a whole army of dino one by one would not be that funny

It's nice mod if you play this game with big mods; like "Primal Fear". Also its exciting. Because we can kill Demonic Bulbdog (Primal Fear) with Raptor if we can use this mod. I think this mod need to fix or update or remake. "Best Eggs Mod" not enough also its can not use on mammals. :sufferme:

Have fun until die!

know i'm late to the party here. but this is 100% correct. the game's core system when it comes to stat leveling only goes to 255 as an >absolute< max. if you go to 256; the game resets the stat and it either goes back to 0 or it goes to a random 150lvl stat. there is a mod called "random configs" that i'm pretty certain allows you to exceed this cap, but at 254 points into basically any stat, you can kill things like giga's without even paying attention. there's really no point in going past 254, honestly. (i say 254 because at 255 the game considers that stat to be "maxed" and locks it so you cant put tamed points into it. so 254 is the highest you can go without the stat being locked)

Hello. I have such a problem, the mod does not increase the levels and indicators of Sabretooth, Direwolves and Basilosaurs. Is there a solution to the problem?
