For stats I like the way you've done it but the light is a bit too game changing for 'serous' players, I'd suggest making it so you could only get the light by getting the Slurper to equip itself on your head like in standard game mode at standard Slurper game rates (-1.7 Hunger per second, -0.42 sanity per second) or perhaps 1/2 game rates... maybe making it so that it drops all items contained when equipped?
As for some new idea's you could make the eyebone equipable as a weapon and use it to direct the Slurper to attack enemies and or pick up items. Maybe make it have a Sanity aura when at 60> hunger and Insanity aura when at <40 hunger; perhaps sleep at 90>. If you like the idea of changing the light dynamic maybe have it follow some Slurper behaviour and if you like the hunger based Insanity/Sanity aura idea and eye bone weapon idea maybe you could make it so it's attack's on pig's/Bunnymen are used for a hunger source.
Well those are my idea's, grate mod keep up the good work
So, nice idea about direct the Slurper to attack (it's like a small bird and pig follower).
P.S. Think about add the "beard" (hairs) for him and use Razor sometimes. <- So one more way to get the beardhair if you don't playing for Wilson usually.
But, don't sure that it will be exactly.
So only added a some quotes and put them into "/licking/scripts/strings.lua"
If 2nd then open console "~" and put there DebugSpawn("slurper_pelt") and then click enter and Ctrl+L. Just because I want beardhair on epic slurper. Anyway I can make the new slurper with slurper pelts, but only in next update.
Why don't you make it so you can have both beardhair and slurper pelt, if possible?
*Update: Well, I will also try to make him 1 pelt per 5 day - but I can't promise that It possible.

It could also be used for easy access to items stored in them, by right clicking the Licking that is in your head slot. Could also feed you food that is stored inside when you are below 90% of hunger.
Armor options: Could have durability, displaying the health of the Licking, that reduces the damage by however you want Ghost9610.
Sometimes I wished I knew how to mod, just to help this project/build.
Also with adding hunger stats:
At 90-75% hunger, Licking will start to lick his lips around ocassionally, and will be asking to be fed by any kind of food (Even rot and spoiled food!) At 74-50%, His stomach will rumble oftenly, and will ask to be fed at a more begging way, and may just attack and feed on a mob to regain hunger. At 49-25%, He'll be much more agressive, sometimes might even attack you once to get your attention to give him hunger, and may eat food that is stored inside them. At 25-0%, He'll just start jumping on your head if there is no more food inside the licking, constantly sucking your stomach until it's at 90%, when it'll get off of you, and just start sleeping for few seconds, and gets up, forgetting what everything happened.
