[Unsupported] GM+ v1.22: Player Interaction Overhaul
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

POLL: Should I extend the HUD to cover everything?
>> GM+ is now unsupported:
Due to the fact that I haven't had the drive to work on this in a long time, the HUD will not be changed and new features will not be implimented.
You can always unsubscribe if you don't like it. I hear SharpeYe still works.

>> Original post:
Currently, GM+ HUD has an circle-dot crosshair with reload indicator.
Should I extend GM+ HUD to be able to replace the old HUD (i.e. health, ammo, armor, etc.)?

If I do, it will most likely follow the circle of the crosshair; health on one side, armor on the other, with ammo thrown in there somewhere.

Sure, why not? Maybe also an optional blinking thing would be nice too.

That reminds me that I didn't add a convar for the Crosshair entity detection.
Is that what you mean?
Matsilagi 20 Mar, 2014 @ 8:57pm
No, i meant like eye blinking.
And also if possible new footsteps.

I'm working on another addon that will make your footsteps and model animations line up together and look less stupid.
Maybe I'll finish it some day and release it.

If you mean new footstep sounds, the BF3 pack has some nice ones (if you like BF3 footstep sounds, that is).
Or, try Nulus's Crystal Clear Sounds.

Oh, ok. About the blinking, i found the SCP blink addon, aside from that vignette around the screen, it gives a nice feeling, and completes GM+ (along with other movement stuff).

If you're really going for realism, disable all GM+ HUD elements except for the HUD Crosshair Dot (so you know where you're aiming).

It'd be nice, but make sure it works with things like the Nomad that use unconventional ammo counting.

How does the Nomad work?
If it uses different methods for ammo, it's impossible to do without direct support; it'd be easier if everyone just used Clip :T

Yeah i'd love if this was made into a full HUD

Alrighty, it's just annoying that all custom huds I've used have it display '10' instead of the correct number.

just so long as you can turn it off (disable the health and ammo) I'm ok with it.

I would like a full HUD. It would be nicer on the eyes than the default. If you can, try it.
Styrmende 29 Mar, 2014 @ 10:01pm
As long as this will be able to be turned off / turned into the original at a moments notice (of course it will, because I see how much you love the convars!) and that would be fine. EXTRA CRAP I TYPED BUT REALISED IT DIDN'T MATTER: I actually feel like doing a kind-of mod review sorta thing along with other mods to show how much mods can do to a simple game, and show that gmod is almost the most customizable 'game platform' as I would call it, being a game that can be used to 'make' more games, like ZMod and TTT and PropHunt.
