Model Update
Hey all,

I updated the originally-posted model shortly after release. The new version a main face with a double window, as well as chamfered sides. Additionally, the turret is a bit more dramatic and features peaked upper floor windows . Finally, I enlarged the model a tiny bit (2.5%).

IF YOU DO NOT SEE THESE CHANGES (OR THE MODEL FAILS TO APPEAR), PELASE LET ME KNOW. You can reference the screenshots to see what it should look like. Bear in mind the old model has 3 "single" windows on the second floor main face.

Any other issues that arise, please let me know. Otherwise, enjoy your cityscaping!

@dudemeister - do you use Blender? I just learned how to flip an entire model in Blender. CTL-M, then either X/Y/Z depending what axis you want to flip around. After flipping the geometry on the main model using those commands, select all and flip the normals, then check that you still like the pivot point. If that looks good repeat for the LOD geometry. Main model will not need to be UV mapped again. LOD, depending on the technique you used on original LOD, may need to be mapped again. Might be interesting for you to do since the Queen Anne with its turret is asymmetrical. People would probably enjoying having the mirrored version in the neighborhoods. Easy way for the asset creator to add variety without much additional work.

I'm going to flip my Bagley mansion asset this weekend. And probably take the opportunity change the illumination slightly so the same windows aren't lighting up the same way on both versions. Although that is more for extra credit and not truly necessary.

Caveat to all the above is this works well with typical building textures like brick, wood, windows, doors. A sign with text, or anything else that would look obviously backwards in a mirror, won't convert without remapping the specific face.

Solid idea... I think I'll do just that Gilded!

Double the subs, double the fun :steamhappy:

Just finished the model of my next Queen Anne... will post after texturing/LOD : ) Wish we could share this advice on a C:S forum!

There is a forum on "Discord" called "City Skylines Asset Creators" that I joined at the beginning of the year. In general it is more of people showing photos of works in progress than people actually answering technical questions. I have better luck there when I ask someone how they did something that they just shared. One guy shared his files with me for his animated sign so I could see how the textures look. But if I just introduce a post on my own technical challenge usually it is just total silence...
